6 large dogs need to be fostered, adopted or sent to rescue by end of day tomorrow. So many cuties. 💚💔

‼️SOS‼️ It is situation *CRITICAL* at the shelter right now! We are over capacity and dogs continue to come in. ***We must have 6 large dogs leave by tomorrow one way or another.**** 💔 EVERY dog here is in DANGER‼️ We need fosters, rescues, and adopters today and tomorrow to move dogs out! Don't YOU dare wait until Friday and 😫then tell us you were interested...after dogs have lost their lives simply due to a lack of space!

Update: Eggo is now in foster!

Eggo is one of 562 dogs in our shelter today. He’s loved by our staff and volunteers alike after he posed wonderfully for his St. Patrick’s Day photoshoot and we're crossing our fingers that a bit of luck comes Eggo's way in the form of finding a loving home outside of the shelter. Adopting or fostering Eggo, or any dog in our shelter, will greatly help reduce overcrowding and reach a dog population of 530 tomorrow. Sweet girl looks so worried. Who can make her smile? 😊

Not a single application for or inquiry about sweet Morgan :(

Morgan is a 10 month old, 30 lb mixed breed cutie. She came to us from animal control on the day she was supposed to be euthanized. She is a shy girl but oh so sweet. Morgan is very food motivated and follows her foster mom around the house. Food has really helped her bond and trust. She is super snuggly and snuggles her foster mom in bed at night.

She does well with both cats and dogs, and she really looks to other dogs for guidance. She has been with dogs small to large and does well with all of them. She also loves to play with other dogs. She is truly a great sized, sweet girl. She is crate-trained and working on house-training.

We believe Morgan would do best with another dog (or two) in her forever home.

Soo cute ☺️

This is his third post this week and no applications yet. 😔 Doesn’t anyone want to wake up to this cute face for the next 15 years or so?

What can we say about Ziggy other than that he’s absolutely and uniquely adorable! That underbite is just the best. Ziggy came to us from a local shelter with an injury to his tail that eventually required amputation. He has a cute little nub left now that wiggles non stop. We haven’t a clue what Ziggy’s breed mix is — your guess is as good as ours! His coat is short but thick, his ears stand up and he’s slightly larger than a Beagle. Ziggy weighs about 30 lbs and he is approximately one year old. This funny-faced boy has an endearingly submissive personality. He approaches you with his head down and flops over on his belly when you pet him. Once he gets to know you he dances around happily and begs for attention. He is growing in confidence daily and he is just a total love. Ziggy gets along great with other dogs. We haven’t seen him with cats but he would probably be fine with them as well. Ziggy is crate-trained and doing well with his housetraining. He isn’t confident on a leash yet so he would do best with a fenced yard. Update: short term fosters came through, but the shelter still had 5 new dogs come in yesterday. We expect many of the fosters will be back in a few days, so we need adopters and rescues to step up!

WE NEED AT LEAST 5 DOGS TO LEAVE BEFORE THE DAY IS OVER

We have soooo many great dogs--dogs we know are dog-friendly and people friendly with no known issues at all--many of which are housetrained and cratetrained as well! All are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for heartworms (and in treatment or treated if positive), and up-to-date on their basic vaccines.

If you are applying for a medium/large dog that is adopted before you have a chance or that is not a good fit, a volunteer will help match you with a different dog! Adorable bonded pair

STILL AVAILABLE!!

MOSES and CLEO are 3yo siblings who came to us because their owner is older and was having some physical difficulties that made it hard for her to walk and take care of them. They have been loved and seem polite and potty-trained. We'd want to find them a home together.

They're small (12-15 lbs) and seem to be maltese mixes? That's just a guess. All we know for certain is they are an easygoing, scruffy, cute duo.
