The Kalymnos Cat Project is a volunteer program focusing on education and Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) to manage the overwhelming stray cat crisis on the island of Kalymnos, Greece.

This beautiful boy living on arginonta beach 🏖️ was released as part of a TNR campaign in the north of the island. Small scale TNR in small communities can be done by volunteers with support from the KCP!

✨ Happy Ending Update for Walter – now Oskar! 🇬🇷✈️🇩🇪

Remember Walter, the scruffy street cat from Chorio with the soulful eyes? 🐾
After months of care, a few adventures (and a few disappearances 😅), he finally found his forever home 💕

Now renamed Oskar, this sweet boy spent his last days on Kalymnos safe and cozy in a volunteer's enclosure, waiting for his flight ✈️
And we’re thrilled to share that he's now in Germany, with his new family 🏡❤️

From the streets of Chorio to a warm home abroad — what a journey!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped along the way — our amazing volunteers, the kind tourists who reported his injury, and of course, Oskar’s new mom who fell in love with him and made this all possible 💙

We love a happy ending like this 💫

"Between Curiosity and Comfort"

This is Mimi, 😻, a 4-year-old former stray who had the luck of being adopted this summer and now lives a peaceful life in Austria 🙏❤️

Here she is, perched on her favorite spot, looking down with that mix of curiosity and caution that only a rescued soul knows.
Every day, she learns a little more about what home feels like - warmth, safety, and soft places to nap 😴

No more streets, no more hiding. Just gentle mornings, kind hands, and the quiet joy of belonging. 💕

Baby Hera's happy tail : From Kalymnos to Sweden! 😍

Little Hera was born a stray in the heart of Kalymnos, right at the bustling central square. From the start, she was sweet, cuddly, and full of charm, so much so that she quickly stole the hearts of two wonderful Swedish girls, Melina and Helena 💕

They dreamed of adopting her, but with time running out and no way to bring her home immediately, they reached out to Kalymnos Cat Project in desperation 🥺 Hera was in real danger, weaving between cars on the busy main road. Something had to be done, fast ⏰

Thanks to two dedicated KCP volunteers, their dream became reality ✨ Hera was rescued and lovingly fostered for two months, first in Kalymnos and then in Athens. And finally… she made it all the way to Sweden and into the loving arms of her forever family! 🇬🇷✈️🇸🇪

Melina and Helena, thank you for never giving up on her — your persistence and love made all the difference. 🐱💖
And thanks a lot to the volunteers involved in this adventure 😍

From the streets of Kalymnos to a cozy home in Sweden, baby Hera’s story is a beautiful reminder of what compassion, teamwork, and a little hope can do 🙏🏼

One handsome boy 😼 and one brave girl 😽 just joined the "Snip Snip Club" – officially spayed and neutered, healthy, and ready to enjoy life without... ahem, surprises.

They may look a little sleepy now, but give them a day or two and they'll be back to ruling their beach kingdom like the royalty they are.

Monastery Cats 🐾

A mamma cat and her 3 lovely daughters, living at a monastery only reachable by boat or by climbing over a mountain, were neutered today!

The nuns care for and feed them, and thanks to your kind donations to Kalymnos Cat Project, they can now live healthier, happier lives 🥰🥰

✨ Jasper’s Story – From tragedy to hope ✨

Once upon a time, Jasper was just another street cat, trying to survive.
Then one day, in May, tragedy struck. Jasper was hit by a car 🚗💔
The accident left him broken, fighting for his life. We weren’t sure he would make it. But Jasper had a will to live stronger than the pain. Against all odds, he survived 🙏🏼

His recovery has been nothing short of a miracle – but it came at a cost. The accident left Jasper completely blind. Darkness is now his world 😢 And yet, Jasper’s spirit shines brighter than ever ✨

In his foster home, he has learned to find his way, to listen to gentle voices, to play again, and to trust human hands 💜
But one thing is certain: Jasper can never go back to the streets. Blindness makes it impossible for him to survive alone. What he needs now is something he has never truly had: a forever family, a safe home where he will be cherished… 😍

Before Jasper can be adopted, he must undergo several important veterinary tests to ensure he is healthy and fit to travel. These tests – like all his care – come with costs we cannot cover without your help 💰
