Monastery Cats 🐾

A mamma cat and her 3 lovely daughters, living at a monastery only reachable by boat or by climbing over a mountain, were neutered today!

The nuns care for and feed them, and thanks to your kind donations to Kalymnos Cat Project, they can now live healthier, happier lives 🥰🥰

➡️ Please continue to support our project so we can help more cats in need across Kalymnos : https://donorbox.org/kalymnos-cat-project

Thanks for them 💙

Agios theologos success story 💖

Here are some photos of the cats we sterilised last year in the Agios Theologos area – don’t they look amazing? ✨

Healthy coats, bright eyes, and happy lives… this is the difference TNR makes. By preventing endless litters and treating parasites, we give these cats the chance to thrive in their colonies.

Thank you to everyone who supports this work – you’re helping to write more success stories just like this one 💙

✨ Jasper’s Story – From tragedy to hope ✨

Once upon a time, Jasper was just another street cat, trying to survive.
Then one day, in May, tragedy struck. Jasper was hit by a car 🚗💔
The accident left him broken, fighting for his life. We weren’t sure he would make it. But Jasper had a will to live stronger than the pain. Against all odds, he survived 🙏🏼

His recovery has been nothing short of a miracle – but it came at a cost. The accident left Jasper completely blind. Darkness is now his world 😢 And yet, Jasper’s spirit shines brighter than ever ✨

In his foster home, he has learned to find his way, to listen to gentle voices, to play again, and to trust human hands 💜
But one thing is certain: Jasper can never go back to the streets. Blindness makes it impossible for him to survive alone. What he needs now is something he has never truly had: a forever family, a safe home where he will be cherished… 😍

Before Jasper can be adopted, he must undergo several important veterinary tests to ensure he is healthy and fit to travel. These tests – like all his care – come with costs we cannot cover without your help 💰

Please, help us write the next chapter of Jasper’s story. Whether through a donation, sharing his story, or simply keeping him in your thoughts – every act of kindness brings Jasper closer to the happy ending he deserves 😍

Thanks for him 💙

A word from the Kandouni Girls 😺💬

“Hi humans! We’re three little ladies from Kandouni, Panormos. We may look cute, but if you don’t help us soon, we’ll have more kittens than we can count – and trust us, that’s a LOT of kittens! 🙀

What we really need is TNR: Trap, Neuter, Return. That way we can stay healthy, avoid endless pregnancies, and keep enjoying our colony life with full tummies and wagging tails 😻

💸 Each sterilisation costs around €50, plus medication – and since there are three of us, that’s quite a bill. If you can spare a little, please donate to help us and other cats like us. Every euro makes a difference : https://donorbox.org/kalymnos-cat-project

Lots of purrs,
The Kandouni Girls 🐾”

Thanks for them 🩷

Chora colony update 🆕

Back in late July, 10 feral cats from Chora – 5 males and 5 females – were trapped, neutered, and given the necessary medications 💊
After their recovery, they were safely returned to their colony, where kind locals continue to feed and monitor them 🥰

Every sterilisation and treatment comes at a cost, and with larger groups like this the expenses add up quickly. Your support helps us keep colonies healthy and prevents countless kittens from being born on the streets.
➡️ Every donation is important for us : https://donorbox.org/kalymnos-cat-project

A big thanks in advance 💙

Little family update 💌

The little family from Lina Studios that so many of you contacted us about has finally been sterilised! 😺

We managed to capture 3 out of the 4 cats – one of the ginger boys wasn’t very cooperative this time. The mum, one ginger male, and the dark tortie female were all sterilised and treated for parasites.

The good news is that none of them are limping anymore, and the black one had the sticky substance (possibly tar) removed from his fur 💚

Thank you to everyone who reached out and cared about this little family!

💰 Each sterilisation costs around €50, and with treatments on top, the expenses quickly add up. If you’d like to help us continue caring for cats like this little family, donations are very much appreciated : https://donorbox.org/kalymnos-cat-project

Thanks for them 💙

Fofico and Erwina have found a home 🏠😻

The two kittens saved from the streets, therefore are urgently looking for a flight es**rt ✈️ who would be willing to take them in the cabin from Athens to Zurich, Karlsruhe or Munich. They are still small and lightweight enough that they could travel together in the same bag 🙏🏼

Thanks for your help 💙

🐾 Adopt Me: Little Grey – Your sweet indoor companion 🐾

Hello, it’s me – Little Grey!
I may be around 3 years old, but I’m still small, cute, and full of charm 😍 I’m already sterilised and ready to join my forever home !

I’m a true indoor cat:
💘 I love napping on chairs or snuggling up on your bed.
💘 I’m gentle – I won’t scratch your furniture or you!
💘 I’m quiet, but I enjoy following you around to see what you’re doing.
💘 Iabsolutely adore being petted.

I’m also very well-mannered: I use my litter box, keep myself clean, and enjoy drinking fresh water 💦

I’m currently in Kalymnos, Greece 🇬🇷, but I can travel to other European countries to find my perfect family 🙏🏼

If you’re looking for a sweet, calm, and affectionate friend, I’d be so happy to be part of your life ❤️

☎️ Contact us by message or mail at [email protected] if you want more info about her !

A heartwarming TNR story 🩵

At an isolated area of Kalymnos island, Emporios, tourists came across an adorable cat family – a mother, a father, and three tiny kittens 🐱💛.

They contacted us for help and, thanks to their valuable contribution, the parents have been Trapped, Neutered, and Returned to their home 🌿.

We appreciate any help and cherish people getting involved, that's what TNR is about 😍

Thank you Paolo 🙏🏼🙏🏼

📢 We now need to go back for the kittens! Please donate to help us make it happen and give them a better future : https://donorbox.org/kalymnos-cat-project

Thanks a lot 💙

🐾 Meet Phoebus & Ermis – Survivors of the industrial zone

During a recent TNR mission at a filthy dustbin site in Kalymnos' industrial zone, two very special kittens were rescued. The area is home to many sick and vulnerable cats, including a feral one-eyed mother suffering from severe eye chlamydia, recently trapped and neutered 🙏🏼

Among her likely offspring, a 4-month-old kitten — completely blind — was seen darting dangerously in and out of the busy main road. 😱 He was finally caught after following his semi-blind sibling into a trap 💪🏼

Now safe and named Phoebus (the blind boy) and Ermis (his semi-blind brother), both have been seen by a vet 👩🏼‍⚕️
Aside from their eye conditions, they’re in good health and already adjusting well to life indoors.

They’re currently living in a temporary foster space, where they’ve rated their crate as “5 stars” 🌟 for food and accommodation — though they’d love a few more toys and cuddles!
These two brave boys will soon be looking for a forever home, hopefully in Germany or Switzerland 🙏🏼❤️

If anyone based in Kalymnos or visiting the island is interested in adoption, please reach out!
And don’t hesitate to make a donation to help us continuing our TNR journey : https://donorbox.org/kalymnos-cat-project

Thanks a lot 💙

🌋 TNR at Giannohorafa – A place of desperation and hope

Giannohorafa, the garbage site near the Kalymnian “volcano,” is one of the most heartbreaking locations for stray cats 😢
Amid the burning waste and toxic dust, a large colony struggles to survive in dangerous conditions…

A TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) effort has begun in this area to try and reduce the suffering. So far, 6 female and 4 male cats have been neutered 💪🏼 The goal is to return soon to trap more — at least one remaining female and several unneutered males !

Among the cats found there, a blind kitten and his semi-blind brother were rescued from near-certain death 😍
Both are now safe and being cared for in a foster home.

➡️ The rescue came at a cost — a fall and an injured leg 🙀 but saving these vulnerable lives was worth every step!

TNR saves lives. This is just the beginning. If you want to participate, you can make a donation : https://donorbox.org/kalymnos-cat-project

Again, a big thanks to our volunteers 🙏🏼 and to you who supports our project 💙

This is a managed cat colony in Kalymnos. A kind neighbor feeds the cats 😻 and one of our local volunteers also helps care for them 🥰

Thanks to our project, most of the cats have been sterilized — but sadly, not all yet.

Please donate if you can 🙏🏼 (no amount is too small) so we can continue helping these and many other cats : https://donorbox.org/kalymnos-cat-project

Our volunteers are working tirelessly every day 🙏🏼🥰
