I wrote this a few years ago when I was in a dark place and having Blanco by my side pulled me through. The slogan “It’s not just a bunny” is an integral part of Bunnease. I wholeheartedly believe bunnies are family and deserve only the best.

I realize some people will never understand this, but I’m proud to be somebody who understands. I’ve been so lucky to know the love of this sweet little creature called a bunny rabbit.

So the next time you hear the phrase “It’s just a bunny”, smile, because they just don’t understand.

Bunnease is proudly female founded + owned and on this International Women’s Day, I want to tell all you lovely strong women out there to do what you love, never give up and support one another.

It’s not easy to defy the very much still existent social norms and cultural stigma and to pave your own path. Women have to go through a lot of struggles to break these barriers. But please know that it is possible, you are enough and just as skilled, smart and capable. A lot of people won’t take you seriously or support you, but what matters is that you believe in yourself, be true to yourself, block out all the noise and keep going.

Thank you to everybunny who has supported me so far in this journey with Bunnease. You are my people for life and I’m so grateful for you. Your positive feedback and encouraging words help me overcome a lot of struggles and challenges that come with being a woman-owned small business. I hope I inspire you the way you all inspire me.

Hay there lovely hooman 👋

First of all, it means the absolute world to me that you hit that like/follow button.

For those who might not know me yet, it is my pleasure to introduce myself as Lousi (Lucy) or Lou, the loving (and stinky) servant of Blanco and Bollo. I am also an industrial designer by profession, specialized in product design.

You’re probably wondering what Bunnease is. It’s both my passions merged into one– bunnies and design.

Bunnease is:

🧡 A safe community for all current and future bunny owners, where you can come for resources and support. I know how difficult it is to find proper information on rabbit care and rabbit health. I will dedicate my time and do my absolute best to help our community.

🧡 A place where you can find proper products made just for rabbits, designed entirely by me. With my designs, I aim to solve the every day problems us bunny owners face, and to ease the way you and your bunnies live in your home by providing functionality and practicality.

Six years ago, as I searched for supplies for Blanco, I realized that there was a lack of proper rabbit products available, or completely unsafe or inadequate alternatives. The idea of creating products for rabbits came to me immediately, but I lacked the courage and means to pursue it back then.

I’ve been working hard for the past few years. It’s been a long and difficult process to say the least, but my first patent-pending product, Mrs. CleanHay, is finally ready and available to pre-order only on www.bunnease.com.

As long as you support me, I look forward to growing, improving, and designing more products for your sweet bunnies, while also changing long-held misconceptions about rabbit care and ownership.

If your bunny doesn’t like banana you can use another bunny safe fruit or vegetable or even pellets which they like. 👉🏻 We all know how difficult it can be to give your bunny their medicine dosage when they aren’t feeling well. Force-feeding is such a struggle.
