Winston is healing from his splenectomy for the next two weeks. I’ll be nervously awaiting any call from Cincinnati to hear the results of the tumor.

We didn’t have time to make all the bandanas we could before we left for the surgery, so if you would still like to support the cost with a Bandana purchase, please let me know. I can share what I have left 🧡

We have decided to list everything at full price again but this time we are giving back to Our English Setter Rescue - OESR with each purchase. This will continue until we sell out of inventory. After three years, we’ve decided to take a step back from Ivy Jane Bandanas.

We started it with a few initial goals:
- Giveback to rescues and shelters
- Help my mom and I get through the boring winters
- Make our own high-quality bandanas for our dogs
- Provide enough side cash to help me make payments on a new (to me) SUV 😅

And we accomplished all of those things tenfold. We’ve given thousands of dollars and donated countless bandanas to rescues. It’s given my mom and I something to talk about almost every day. Something we do together. How special is that?! Our dogs always have a Bandana ready for every special occasion or holiday. And I’ve made a serious dent in my auto loan 🥲

As I’ve entered the next phase in my career, the busy season for bandana sales is also the busiest season for me in my real world job. My parents, retired and traveling more than ever, are having to plan their trips around IJ Bandanas production. Plus with a new tax law going into effect this year, we aren’t sure the profits we earn are really worth it to continue our tiring effort.

We’ve both decided it’s time to close up shop and we are ready.

We will be selling all of our remaining inventory at 50% off on Etsy but also check my stories as I will be posting anything not listed I find, any supplies, and more that can be bought via PayPal or Venmo.

We also still have lots of remaining fabric not made yet that we will be making small amounts of new bandanas throughout the year and posting on our stories for sale. This account will remain live as we continue to share your photos!

We are so proud of what we’ve accomplished and happy to be ending this entrepreneurial chapter on our terms. As we take a step back, it’s a reminder none of this would have been possible without you. My mom and I celebrate every single order from our very first for about $7 to the $300 monster one we shipped yesterday. You guys have been the most supportive, charitable, amazing people to rise together with and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We are devastated to see what’s happening in our local Western Kentucky communities. The devastating tornado slammed into Mayfield, Kentucky, and we want to start helping. We are seeing so many lost and missing animals in that community. To help out, we are going to give 20% of all sales to the Mayfield Graves County Animal Shelter starting now through Christmas.

Three years ago, we started this little shop. My mom and I had no idea how long this would last. We thought maybe to the New Year, maybe to Valentine’s Day.

I remember us standing in a Walmart aisle buying our very first supplies and hesitating at the bill because we had no idea if we could even net even. But we’ve turned this into an effort that helps raise money for nonprofits, rescues, and shelters and donate bandanas to foster dogs.
