Springfield show this past weekend.

Friday night Jase won Best of Breed with his black otter Sr. Doe.

Saturday Bailey won Best of Breed with Klinger’s Ang REW Sr. Doe.
Jase won the Jersey Wooly specialty Best in Show with his Jersey Wooly black otter Sr. Doe.

There definitely was some good competition this weekend. So proud of how they placed. Can’t wait to see the new babies coming up, and how well they develop over the next few months. We have many whites, and broken black Mini Rex in nesting boxes right now. Jase has his second home breed of Jersey Wooly’s in the nesting box as well, a blue, tort, and a white.

The Bengals may have lost today but the kids got their first Best in Show with their white Jersey Wooly Jr. Doe, JLY. Wish they all could have been here today. They all have worked so hard the past 3 years to get where they are. Jase didn’t believe me when I called to tell him 😂

Preble County Fair 2023 open show.
All the kids showed and they won Best of Breed with Jr. REW doe Mini Rex, Best of Breed with Jr. REW Jersey Wooly doe, Best Opposite of Breed with Sr. Blue Jersey Wooly buck, Best of Breed with their Florida White.
3rd overall with Jase’s Jr. REW Jersey Wooly doe.
We had some good Judges for this show glad to see some new faces judging.

Preble County Fair 2023
Jase and Grace had a good week at fair.
Jase won Best of breed with his Jr. REW doe Jersey Wooly (from his first breeding out of the pointed white buck and a blue doe) and Best Opposite of Breed with his Sr. pointed white buck Jersey Wooly. Best of Breed with his Sr. Florida White doe. And was in the top 15 out of about 60 meat pens he made it through 3 cuts. Not bad for his first year showing in 4H.

Grace won Best Opposite of Breed with Klinger’s JR Sr. REW buck. 5th place In Showmanship. And made it through 2 cuts with her meat pens. (She would let mom take any pictures this year🙄teenagers 😆)

Both Jase and Grace got blue ribbons for their 4H project books.

Show A she won best of breed with Klinger’s Melania and best opposite of breed with Klinger’s Trump. Show B she won best of breed with Klingers Trump and best opposite of breed with Klinger’s Melania. Jase won best of verity with his AOV Jersey Wooly in show B.
