I am a happy boy who loves to explore and snuggle with my foster Mum.

I love playing with my brother and I am trying to make friends with my foster sister but she is a little shy. I am still trying to get to know the cats, but they keep running away from me and I think they want me to play chase with them.

I love exploring the garden and I am happy to chill on the deck or inside with my foster family.

My toilet training is improving. I just have to learn to ask Mum to let me out.

I sleep in my den at night and when my foster family go out. I like to have space to stretch out when I’m in my den.
I am learning some new manners, I come when I’m called and can sit on command. My foster mums says I’m very clever and will do well with training and stimulation

I haven’t met any children yet but I’m sure I will love them, I might knock little children over in my excitement.

I love being with people and getting cuddles, tummy rubs and lots of pats.

My foster mum works from home, so I’m used to having company during the day.

❤️Sorry Romeo is going to be groomed very soon as his eyes have disappeared under all of his Poodle coat.

❤️Romeo has been living in a backyard for the majority of his 3 years on the planet, the owner has finally decided to surrender him.
As you can imagine Romeo needs a home where he will be given lots of exercise, training, space to run, a ball to chase, and a doggie friend to play with. A home with another dog whose energy level matches Romeo will be best for him. He loves other dogs and all people. Small children will not be suitable, a family with children over ten years of age will be fine.

❤️Romeo has a coat that will grow and require regular brushing and grooming at the pooch parlour. He is a house dog now and must always have access inside with his new family. Update - Will is now adopted

Wills is no longer taking applications* for his forever home.

At 10 years young, Wills is an apricot toy poodle with no house training to speak of. He’s got no idea what to do on the lead, so you will need a little extra patience to teach him the basics. He responds well to attention and could do with much love. He came to us with a great deal of anxiety, and has responded well in foster where he has a warm knee to sit on.

There is no history of Wills’s life before he found himself in the capable hands of Peninsula Animal Aid, except his owner died.

Wills is desexed, microchipped, had extensive dental work, worm, flee and tick treated, and cleared by the vet to expect to live 6-8 more years.

🥰Still no luck finding our 13-year-old Poodle's owners. She was found in Orchard Street Epping NSW about a week ago.

🥰She is a dream dog, loves her food, plays ball, is a real cuddler, almost toilet trained and completely ignores my dogs.

Poodle People, I need your help.
At the top of this page you will see a petition calling for the State Govt to look into the running of RSPCA Qld by the current CEO and Board.
Horrible things are happening, to people and animals. The staff running the shelters are working in a hostile and bullying environment.
And more animals are dying that should be given a chance at life. It's all they ask for. A chance to live.
I have spoken to many that have stories to tell that will come out if we can get an enquiry by Annastacia Palaszczuk.
It won't happen if we can't get more signatures on this petition. There are over 14K followers on this page. If you care about animal welfare, please, please sign.

Meet Holly, she is a 4yr old standard poodle looking for her new home.

Holly has been in foster care in south east Qld for the past week after being saved from a bad situation. We’re not 100% sure of her back story, but we do know she was used to produce a couple of litters at a young age, and while seemingly looked after at that point, more recent times have seen her left outside to become anxious and unsure of herself. The other dogs are frightened by her behaviour.

She would suit someone who she could shadow, she would equally love to be in a family with children. She has bonded to the 7 year old boy at her foster home and is currently spending her nights on the end of his bed. She will follow you around the house all day and loves a cuddle. What she does need is someone who is home more often than not to help her settle in.

Holly is an absolute sweetheart, but at this point will be best suited to be the only pet in the home, as currently she is nippy towards the other poodle. She could benefit from personal attention to blossom.

While she will happily walk on lead beside other dogs, when it comes to sharing her humans love, the past couple of years have left her anxious and unsure of her place in the home, causing her to become nippy and dominant. This is something we are working on improving. She is a dream to walk, groom and travel in the car.

Since becoming more settled in, she has become much more relaxed and happy, and she regularly has zoomies around the yard. She walks on the lead perfectly and has been around parrots in cages with no issues. However she is no good with chickens. Not cat tested.

Holly is booked in for her vaccinations and desexing this week, and will be fully checked over by the vet to ensure she is healthy.

Miss Tiny (previously Teena) is one of three toy poodles who came into our care last week. Today she had her hideous teeth cleaned. Post surgery photos to come.

Sixteen of her 42 teeth were removed. Now her breath won't stink and she will be able to eat without pain. She is even eating treats now!

The great news is that her blood work is all clear. Tiny's liver, kidney and heart worm have come back clear, and according to the vet means she can live for another 6 to 8 long years.

Teeth surgery was deemed the priority, so Tiny will be spayed and her hernia fixed after next week.

Miss Tiny is 10 year old apricot toy poodle not currently available for adoption. Cost of surgery $1,900.

Foster Call Out UPDATE
IN FOSTER

A male toy poodle is coming into our care at Brisbane Poodle Rescue and we are looking for a foster carer for a few weeks while they have surgery.

Ben is 11 years young (considering poodles can live to 20) and is booked for his second vet visit next week. He will need transport and after care for neutering and teeth. He is shy as he probably hasn’t had a warm knee to settle into so a gentle approach with someone home all day would be ideal. There is no housetraining, kids or cats tested yet, so you must have good fencing and close watch.

He has been vaccinated, microchip and heartworm tested.

Message us your expression of interest detailing location, ages of family members, where the pet will sleep, how long it might spend alone, if at all, your experience with poodles/fostering. We need you

The cost of vet care for each dog will be $1200 so in order to keep the cost of adoption to a reasonable price ($750) Brisbane Poodle Rescue rely on donations.
