As we have been silent for awhile, we thought it would be time to make a post! We have been very busy before Christmas, selling plants at the CLE grounds at our Northern Reach table. At this time we have lots of new plants that will be available there coming up soon! Pls stop by the Northern Reach table and check out our plants!

Northern Reach Rescue has rescued over 8,000 northern dogs since it’s inception 6 years ago. They are all sent to southern Ontario rescues and quickly find homes. ❤️❤️❤️

Recently I’ve been trying to sell plants on this page and nothing is selling. I have only ordinary plants. I’m one of the admins. I’m trying to raise money to help with funding Northern Reach Rescue. Since 2015 we have brought into safety approximately 8,000 dogs. Yes. You read that right. 8,000 dogs that were homeless or injured.
ANYONE? WILLING TO HELP OUT? To sell plants??? Here? On this page?? My heart cries for these dogs and I cannot turn my back.

Is there any better place to have a nap than on your foster Mom’s feet? Introducing Luke. This shadow absolutely loves to be near humans and to ensure that he is never left out of any fun happening in the house! Luke will make a lovely addition to his forever family, we are sure of it!

Luke will be going to the Toronto Humane Society in Southern Ontario where he will be fostered in a home until he has been assessed and is ready to find his forever home. If you are interested in adopting, you will need to follow the THS’s social media to see when Luke will be ready for adoption. We are a rescue network and therefore we do not do adoptions.

Since 2015 NR has brought in close to 10,000 dogs from northern communities. They are quickly shipped from Thunder Bay to various rescues and Humane Societies in southern Ontario. They are adopted very quickly there. Thanks so much.

I have been thinking about germinating a number of seeds from oranges, lemons and grapefruit to donate for a plant sale. I think I have the germinating trick down now. I just wonder how they'd sell. Any comments?

Tomorrow Saturday Sept 11th at the Unitarian Church on Algoma there’s an indoor yard sale. Northern Reach Rescue will be there selling plants and rocks. Donations can be dropped off at that location. If anyone is interested in helping even for an hour pls let me know! Thanks for your supplication the northern dogs. Woof woof.

Hey all , Amy here with a quick update!

Unfortunately this fundraiser was put on the back burner for the last month as an unexpected death in my family had me away from town.

All of the plants were cared for while I was away. I’m assessing them and giving them the love and care they need. I will update the available plants album this weekend.

I have lots on the way. Thank you all for understanding.

We took in 7 adorable puppies to help them find rescues and forever homes. To our surprise, some of the 7 puppies began to show signs of Parvovirus. We took the puppies to the wonderful team at Highview Animal Clinic and unfortunately, 3 puppies tested positive for Parvovirus and the vet thinks that the rest of the litter may catch it as well 😓. The 3puppies that were positive have been very weak and therefore we admitted them to receive 24/7 care at Highview. We received a very sad phone call this morning and unfortunately, one of the puppies has passed away 💔. We are continuing to work very closely with the veterinary team to help these pups in every single way that we can. However, with the extended veterinary care, our bill has been building quite significantly and we are in need of help so that we can continue to help these pups.
