UPDATE: we have been overwhelmed with applications for the pup so are not accepting any new applications in the meantime while we review all of the applications we have already received

We are looking for a home for this (approx)13week old boy. He is a great wee lad but is not the most confident when out and about, due to this, he might benefit from having a confident adult dog in the home. He is quite nervous around cats so may prefer a cat-free home.
He will need access to a garden to continue his toilet training and he is quite nervous about going out in public so will need an owner with the time and patience to help him gain some confidence.

⚠️ We ask for anyone who might be interested in offering the boy a forever home to have a serious think about whether you are in a position to take on a puppy and can manage the costs involved.

We have more new dog arrivals and one of these is our stunning Kilo 🥰He is a young German Shepherd who has already had a difficult start,this is sadly becoming the norm after lockdown with many young dogs being moved around on selling sites and being bought by totally inexperienced people who then are unable to cope with these poor dogs! He found himself homeless and we were asked by our good friend Margaret to help him and up he came along with another new dog.We will update the page as we get to know Kilo and we will be looking for him to move into a breed experienced home ❤️🐾

Today we had a new arrival,this handsome lad is Ronnie 🥰He has such a sad story to tell…he is an older dog who found himself abandoned with no micro chip and no way of knowing who he was or why he was dumped 💔He is needing vet treatment and it could be that sadly his owner could no longer afford to care for him and with living costs being so high just now he is sadly just one of hundreds of animals who are finding themselves in the same predicament.We desperately want to find Ronnie a foster home where we can get him comfortable,get all his vet treatment seen to and just make him feel loved again.We don’t know Ronnie that well just now however we will be taking applications for him from now all we are stipulating is that he can’t live with children under 12 and he can’t live with cats,we will homecheck anyone who we feel could be right for him.Please private message us for a link to our application if you feel you could help him ❤️🐾.

We have another new arrival and this pretty girl is Blue 🥰She found herself unwanted after being sold to an unsuitable home and she was signed over to the kennels for Rehoming.She came to us with another two dogs and she has been settling in well.She is a typical young,high energy terrier who has had little training however she adores fusses and cuddles and is super smart and will thrive in the right home.It’s sad to see dogs move from home to home and the best thing that could have happened to Blue is for her to come to rescue as the next move for her will be her last and it will be to her forever home.Blue is looking to be an only pet in an adult only home and she needs you to have experience training an adult dog…if you feel you could help her and can offer her the home she requires please private message us ❤️🐾

I am Stevie. I am brave, I am kind, I am sweet and I am fun. But I am stuck in kennels for an unknown reason, is it because I am missing a leg? Because I promise this doesn't matter. With only 3 legs I am still loyal and my heart is ready to be full of love for my own family. I will love your children like my brothers and sisters and I promise I will love everyone who ever walks through our front door. My friends in the kennels say they have no idea why I am still here because I am such a sweet girl. All I need is a home with no small furries or cats and a sofa that I can lie on (or my parents legs on a chair, I really am not fussy) and with only having 3 legs I will take up a little less room. I can also curl up into a really tiny ball!
Apart from the staff and volunteers at the kennels(who I love!), the vets and our lovely animal welfare officer I have not seen anyone else since the accident that led me to loose my leg and that was months and months ago. Why am I not wanted? My friends say I just have to wait a little bit longer for my perfect family. I hope that comes soon because I am told that having a family and home of your own is the best thing ever. Unfortunately, already this year has been unkind to us, and we aren’t even (quite) 2 full months in!

We’ve had a lot happen in a very short space of time:

🚿 A leak in our kennel block roof, and consequently the roof needing to be fixed.
🚨 2 emergency vet appointments, including a leg amputation for our Dorothy.
🛠 Wall panels needing replacing inside our kennel block.
👕 Our washing machines deciding it is a good time to die on us.
🏡 Needing to extend our kennel block so we can help support more dogs.

So our funds have been a little stretched, to say the least!

Sadly, our account at our vets has also now been suspended until we can clear what we owe - this currently stands at £6,000.

We don’t like getting the begging bowl out, but we are swamped at the moment, and would really appreciate any support our fantastic community can give to us - no matter how small this is.

Rescue is incredibly difficult, and circumstances like the ones we are faced with at the moment are incredibly overwhelming.
