Hey everyone, I had to make a last minute decision to not do market this weekend. It's been a rough week, between the heat and losing another hen, the egg production is really low. I had planned to bake more hot chocolate cookies, but it was a struggle to just get a birthday order finished. So long story short, I apologize for my absence but hope to see you on August 19th.

My apologies for being so quiet as of late. I will not be at market again this week either (June 24th). This weekend we had already set aside for processing rabbits. I hope to see you all July 1st.

Here is what is starting to put on blooms, in bloom, and ripening in the garden right now. I have two yellow gladiolus starting to emerge, I'll post those pictures when they open. One of the three elderberry bushes have the beginning buds. And a couple of the blueberry bushes look promising especially since the one pictured was a rescued plant from the clearance rack last summer. One thing I find interesting is how sleepy the Dorset Golden apple tree was, it is finally putting leaves on. But it appears that most of my perennials tend to be a couple weeks behind other growers I know.

Collards are looking like they are done. I'll clean up the bug eaten leaves to chop and freeze for later and feed the rest to the chooks. I was hoping they would start putting on seeds but alas...no. I may have a couple more weeks of kale and kohlrabi. My tomatoes are a couple weeks away from ripening and the cucumber vines are covered in blossoms.

I look forward to seeing you all at market tomorrow. I have eggs, I will have some almond cookies and some rice cereal treats, and a few plant starts. I will see what the garden is ready to yield in the morning.

I'm at the market until 10am today.

Something came up and now I will be at the market for a couple hours. I will definitely have eggs and a few other things. Not sure what kind of baking I will do since it is last moment. But look forward to seeing you at the market tomorrow morning at 9am!

Dinner tonight! Kohlrabi patties with avocado crema and fresh sprouting broccoli. 75%of this meal came from our garden, and to me that is so rewarding.

This is also a reminder that I will not be at the market this Saturday, April 22nd.

Happy Friday everyone. I will be at the market tomorrow, Saturday April 15th, hooray. I will have eggs, some green mixes, some new finishing salts that I've made this week, and a couple varieties of almond cookies. Neither of my young gentlemen will be with me however, I will also have some of Monkey's plants and the Bryceman's Subtle Cinnamon lip balm.

I still have a garden tour video that I want to make, but I'm just not there yet. So in the meantime here's a few pictures from the garden.

Planted my popcorn cassia today. If you ever stop for a visit, you need to smell this plant. I kid you not, it smells like buttered popcorn. The wisteria is finally waking up, so I built a bamboo trellis for it. While it is still No Mow March, I did use my brand new little push mower to knock back some of the nut grass clumps here and there. I took care to not mow my hip clover patches and tried to avoid the toad flax and the lookingglass flowers. Tomorrow is another day, hoping to put out some of the tomatoes and peppers and the last of the brassicas.

Just a reminder, I will NOT be back at market until the 15th of April. If you need to order something send me a PM. Have a good one.

We had pulled all these Cosmos when they were sprouting out of the garden. They were all volunteers and Monkey was going to sell them at the market. However, seeing that none of my Cosmos survived our Frost in the garden two weekends ago, I will be planting these guys out in the garden.

An interesting observation to share, all the white Cosmos have a yellow green stem and all the pink and purpley Cosmos have a reddish green stem.

I plan on sharing more of the garden with you all. So be looking for updates. I have considered possibly doing a video garden tour if that sounds appealing to anyone.

Good afternoon friends. Tomorrow is Market Day and I look forward to seeing you all. I will have a couple dozen eggs, and my almond cookies. The monkey will have his mint, oregano, and lemon balm available, he will also have some torch ginger roots that are ready for you to plant.

And now for the schedule of markets we will be attending. Here it is springtime and what better time to go and learn when everything is starting to grow. Because of this we will only be at the market on the 15th and the 29th during the month of April. I'm really excited to go to Keepers of the Old Ways on April 1st, a beekeeping class on April 8th, and then a forager's class on April 22nd. If you need to order anything during those times that we are not available please feel free to message me and we will work something out.

Picture: unknown type of radish, because all that was ever planted right there was daikon icicles. This radish is huge and I'm waiting for the seeds because it survived the freezes with no damage.

Good morning 🌞 it is definitely a cold one. But we're out here! Stop by and get your eggs, greens, and plants. Then go to the Foodie Fest!

11/03/2023

Good evening friends. I will only be visiting the market tomorrow morning. We have been making due with one of our rabbit hutches and it needs attention immediately. Little babies have been escaping several times today. And these guys are only a week old this Sunday, so there eyes are still closed. Monkey is working on new plants to bring to market hopefully for the 25th. I currently only have three dozen eggs available. Message me if you need anything. Enjoy your weekend.
