We must fight against the spirit of unconscious cruelty with which we treat the animals. Animals suffer as much as we do. True humanity does not allow us to impose such sufferings on them. It is our duty to make the whole world recognize it. Until we extend our circle of compassion to all living things, humanity will not find peace.

It's winter for them too...

These days, if you go out in the evening or at night, you'll notice so many innocent voiceless souls on the streets, shivering in the cold.

We have our warm clothes but they don't.

They don't have sweaters or coats, they don't have a warm home, they don't even have enough food to fill their bellies. Cold hits even harder with those empty bellies.

This winter donate your old warm clothes to the streeties in your locality. Or buy them a couple of jute sacks, they'll hardly cost you 10-20 Rs, but for these street kids, those 10-20 Rs can prove to be lifesaving.

Today, along with Deepawali we are also celebrating Nepal's heartwarming Kukur (dog) Tihar.

On this day in Nepal, all dogs, whether pets or strays, are offered treats and worshipped by placing a tika on their forehead and garlands of marigolds around their necks. This day marks the special relationship between humans and dogs, where dogs are thanked and celebrated for their loyalty, service and companionship.

Celebrate dogs and all animals today, refrain from Crackers, the noise leaves them petrified. Instead celebrate by giving food to the needy, whether human or animal.

Bruno passed away.
Our handsome boy fought so hard. He was beyond any doubt the sweetest boy. Right until the end he was more concerned about our grief and kept trying to console us. In the end he let go, in the arms of someone he loved and someone who loves him a lot.
May our handsome bub rest in peace 🙏

How could his owners abandon him? He was with us for just a few weeks, yet he left this hole behind.

It's a humble request please don't adopt/purchase a pet until and unless you're ready for the responsibility. When you bring them home, you commit for their whole life span, not just for the number of years feasible to you. These furbabies don't live for as long as we do, the few years they have on this earth, please don't put them through the pain of abandonment.

Update: Ever since Bruno came to us he hasn’t improved much, what the vets initially said was separation anxiety turned out to be Renal trouble. He's been undergoing treatment from Dr Kochar here in Chandigarh, who isn’t very optimistic. We're consulting vets at GADVASU multi-speciality veterinary hospital in Ludhiana where he will undergo emergency dialysis, which costs Rs.5000 per sitting.

Our own Indie dogs, are now being trained by National Defence Response Force (NDRF ), as a part of the Force's dog squad.

This is big news and goes to prove that Indies or Desi are as good as any other pedigree breed. 🤟

Remember Bruno!?

A few days back, Bruno was all the hype. His owners had due to their personal problems, given up on taking care of him and had kept him tied up for 5 months straight. This poor lad was sad, depressed and severely malnourished. He went viral on social media people were sharing about him left and right, but unfortunately he had no rescuers ready to go the extra mile...

That's where PAWS at Minerva stepped in, we took him in. In the beginning he was this scared boy, growling and snapping at us, wanting to be left alone. But, our efforts paid off, Bruno came out of his shell🤩. This big bhaloo of a doggo is now the fussiest kid ever, wants to be pet/massaged constantly! He loves to have his hair groomed, asks for kisses...and as you can judge from these pictures, he's clearly the boss here 😂

Bruno is still recovering from the months of maltreatment. Not only was he malnourished but he also has a pretty serious ear infection. But he's getting better. He's learning to trust humans once again. 🤗
