We were incredibly privileged to welcome a corporate day onto our little farm today. The animals adored meeting such lovely people and I was so proud to introduce my team of happy animals to everyone.

I get very used to this being my ‘norm’ but it was wonderful to be reminded that not everyone gets to have the honour of creating a bond with different animal species.

Couldn’t have done it without the crazy talented The Manor Barn team. Thank you all!!!

Sad news in camp… little Hippo sadly didn’t make it 😢 we’re not sure what happened but she started to show signs of a neurological issue.
Very sad that she had a short time, but at least it was always safe and warm.

Little Hippo is thriving!!!! We are now entering the next ‘danger-zone’ of weaning… wish her luck!!!
Today was her first sniff of fresh air in the garden with me. It was all rather exhausting…

Very much going to miss this little fella… he’s gone to East Winch Wildlife Hospital to join 2 more cubs. They always do better together, but it will be a shame not to hear his chicken noises again!

Betty is now Bobby!! 💙🦡 It’s important to me that when a baby is orphaned something good still comes out of it.
Hardly any of us get to see a baby badger close up, if ever! I’m incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to help him and he is THRIVING! 40g gained in 24hours.

By getting to see what I’m currently doing every 4-6 hours it shows you what wildlife rehabilitation is about. I also hope that it helps people to have a love for them too and make effort to be considerate and kind in the future.

Cubs are better raised with other cubs, so he may well be going to another rehabilitator soon with two others, which I’m sad about, but it’s the right thing for him. Hopefully, updates will still get shared. 🦡😩

This little poppet has really done well today. It was an orphan found locally who looks like it was taken out of a sett by a dog, it’s got some wounds which I’ve cleaned up. Fleas and ticks removed, warmed up and then fed with puppy milk replacer. Today it began by struggling to get good sized feeds in, but now it’s very much got the hang of it!!
