The Fabulous Fantastic Finn, so why is he WagSplasher of the month?

He's the WagSplashtic of the month because he has come on so well these last few months, he is a very competent swimmer and will wild swim no problem. But Finn is a very sensitive soul who struggles with change and certain situations. Previously when it came to his brother's swim time he would go for a walk or wait outside, but with the move to a new pool he wanted to come in and see what he is missing out on.

We have had lots and lots of ramp play while his bros showed him how it's done and he's finally got his confidence to have a go himself. Super proud of this boy and all he has achieved.

Teg was so happy in the water and I'm glad that I had chance to be part of his swim time and help him to carry on with the activity he loved so much.

Great place to walk your dogs, adventure is such a great size and will give your four legged friend such a nice experience. Lots to do and sniff.

Just glad these dogs still have places they can go to have fun. Love the XLs I get the privilege to swim.

Banned Breeds…
Not Here! 🐶❌

We welcome dogs affected by Breed Specific Legislation, including XL Bullies, under the following conditions:

- 📜 Provide proof of exemption and third-party public liability insurance.
- ⚖️ Follow government regulations, such as neutering guidance.
- 👥 Only the registered keeper or a prior approved person (18+) can bring the dog.
- 🔒 Use a coded padlock to secure the gate.
- 🐕 Keep your dog on a lead and muzzled until inside the field and the gate is secured.
- 🚫 Exempt dogs cannot be brought with dogs from another household as per our insurance policy. Failure to comply will result in an immediate ban from Ryecroft Meadow to ensure the safety of our business.

If you have an XL Bully, you MUST contact us with proof of your exemption and insurance. If everything is in order, we will respond with the full rules/terms for banned breeds. You can email us at [email protected] with the proof attached. If you have emailed or cannot remember, resend or pop us a message to check! Don't panic if you haven't done this yet; you can do it now.

Important Reminder:
Regardless of breed, the Agility or Hillside fields should not be used by dogs exhibiting aggression-based reactivity towards other dogs or humans, as they may see dogs on the other side of the fence or in the car park. If your dog is reactive, please use the Adventure field only. We strongly encourage using a coded padlock for any reactive dogs, regardless of breed, for extra security and peace of mind.

Padlocks:
We only permit coded locks, such as a chain with a coded padlock or coded bike lock. Key locks are not allowed due to the risk of losing the key in the field (it wouldn’t be the first time!)

Dylan, I am so impressed with this boy, yes he is a swimmer and has been swimming for years wild swimming, Beachin and other venues and he swims regularly at various places. But... Dylan is an older boy he won't mind me saying I hope and like all older boys has his routine.

He has also had a tough year recovery from surgery to remove a large mass and then he had a stroke which has affected his balance and then on top of this he was already suffering with arthritis for a number of years.

But despite facing all of this he always bounders in, with a wag and a smile and most recently taken to playing with new toys and letting me play with his duckie. I'm super proud of this boy and his pawrents 🐾🐾🌊🐾 he had the best week ever last weekend at WagSplashtic self launching and really cheeky 😄 and playful

Better late than never...
May's WagSplasher of the month Brilliant Baine.

Baine is an XL bully who is one of the most soft and gentle dogs I have ever met.

He has bilateral hip and elbow dysplasia but despite all his medical issues he gives it all he can at the pool.

I'd only met/swam Baine once before WagSplashtic but the difference in this boy is amazing. He looks forward to his swims and enjoys a game of chase the chicken round the pool. It's been so lovely seeing him gain the confidence to self launch off the ramp and play with toys and enjoy his swims.

He puts a smile on my face each session ☺️ 🌊🐾🌊
