One thing I love about taxidermy is that it’s such an art, and there are so many techniques and different ways to do things.

With this specific deer, the brisket hair was just too cool to not show off. So, we decided to use it for the pedestal backing for a unique look!

The Canvasback- one of my favorites for a reason!

In college, I spent a summer in Canada assisting with nest searches, in which the main species being studied was the Canvasback. I got to experience where these birds hatch and take flight. For a duck to fly 1,000 miles to Kansas is pretty impressive, and I am so fortunate to experience where it all started, to where it ends.

Now, this bird is headed to a customer’s new home in Texas.
