A wonderful welcome to BUDDY what an absolute joy you are! a beautiful fluff ball that knows exactly how to get muddy! He joined strollnstay a few weeks ago but I’ve only just managed to get a dry photo 😮 ☔️ He already has a partner in crime in Ralph but just loves his walks and every single other dog he meets. You are a pleasure buddy 🥰

Yesterday we said a very sad 😢 farewell to the gorgeous Benji
He was the most precious little doggy who just loved to be with his pals at strollnstay.. We are all in shock but I know he had the best mummy in Clair & no one could have loved him more..

‼️ New Recruits Alert‼️

It’s not often we have new members to introduce at Suzie’s Stroll and Stay as we have a well established pack & have been together for a long time But the last couple of weeks I have the pleasure of introducing two gorgeous new members, Winnie A beautiful little dachshund who just loves company from who ever is there to give it 🥰😂 & as she already has another walker Yappy days she has slotted into my pack wonderfully
And Walter 💙a gorgeous miniature labradoodle who just loves to run and run and run wherever he can 🥰
How lucky am I to have these 2 new recruits in my pack 🫶
They have both slotted in pawfectly!

What can I say 🥰 A wonderful thank you to all my amazing dog owners & all my family of doggies..this year has been fantastic I absolutely love you all…🐶🐕🦮🐩🐕‍🦺 I have been unindated with presents, cards & above all the messages from you all have brought me to tears😘❤️ I really couldn’t run my little business without your continued support. A few pictures of the most important little people here. Some would wear the Christmas decorations but some wouldn’t and most of them looked at me daft lol. Hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas 🎅🏻 🎄🥳🎁🎉

The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business 😞

Running a business is really hard.

What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid-back people.

People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.

Friends and family will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store or company.

You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.

Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work-life balance.

You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the counsellor, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All whilst being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend...

There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5-10 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed.

It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.

Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives.

Be kind, be patient, support small businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!

And know that 2022 prices are not 2023 prices.
