I had been looking for a trailer to fix up as a “chicken wagon” to use on the first Saturday of every month at Angelina County Farmers Market for “Animal Swap, Shop, & Sell”. My husband (Chip) kept telling me I had one. I finally listened to him (He is usually right)! He converted our old stock trailer (one of a kind because was homemade by in his Zavalla HS at class). It is vintage! Anyways, I have a huge hen cage in the front. I plan to bring Marans, Olive Eggers, 1 Cream Legbar, & 1 Ameracauna layers. In the back I will have cages full of Swedish Silverruds roosters.

Also, I plan to bring:

Bantam Cochins to go as a pair (hen & rooster)
Bielefelders (pullets & roosters)
Trio of Swedish Silverruds (2 hens & rooster)
Whiting True Blues to go as a pair (hen & rooster)
Older chicks (not many)
Straight Run Baby Chicks

Prairie Rose Artisian Soaps will bring Homemade Goats Milk Soaps & Lotions.

Prairie Rose Hens will tailgate at Angelina County Farmers Market in Lufkin Tx this Saturday March 5 gate opens at 9am. We will have hatching egg special for this weekend. The special is $20 a dozen for Whiting True Greens, Olive Eggers, Whiting True Blue, Bielefelder, & Mille Fleur d’Uccle. Must be picked at the event.

Bieldfelder chicks looking for a new home. Local pickup from our farm in Huntington Tx. These gentle giants are extremely docile, beautiful and easy to raise. Males have barred feathers and are easily 10 pounds, and hens aren't much smaller. These are great birds for both meat and eggs. Chicks can be identified male or female. PM for more information.
