Hello friends,

We have a little update for you all here at Eddie’s Adventures. As a lot of you know, Eddie is getting older and has a few health issues which have made it more challenging for him to walk the distance we used to. I bought him a doggie pram and it’s looking like a positive game changer for Eddie.

Weather permitting tomorrow, Eddie and I will go Live in the afternoon/evening sometime and we will be at the lakes where Eddie loves to visit to see his duck and swan friends.

This doggie pram means Eddie won’t miss out anymore on these adventures he always loved so much in the past, but is sadly too old to manage without assistance now.

So, all being well and weather permitting, we will see you tomorrow afternoon/evening (GMT) and we look forward to a long overdue catch up with you all. ❤️

Eddie being his usual beautiful self. ♥️🐶♥️ Captured on a walk late last year before he became poorly. Eddie had a seizure back in January and hasn’t been 100% well since. He’s in cognitive decline sadly. We will still try to bring you our fantasy adventures as best we can. I spend most of my time cooking for and caring for Eddie as his sense of taste has changed so much, he now doesn’t like the food he’s been eating for years. Please keep my baby in your thoughts if you do get a spare moment. Thank you so much and thank you for supporting our page. Eddie says thank you too and sends lots of sweet doggie kisses 🐶😘

Well, that’s pretty accurate… I have treated my Eddie like he’s my baby though and it’s not impacted in any negative way on him. Eddie has his boundaries and they’re respected by us and we cuddle on Eddie’s terms. He knows he’s welcome on any bed to sleep, he’s loved, he’s spoiled, but not a brat and he’s the absolute best dog you could ever wish for. Very gentle and friendly with cats, rabbits, ducks, squirrels would get loves too if they didn’t run off lol… A beautiful and gentle baby overall and a total joy to have as our family member. They’re perfect dogs!! 🐶❤️ Oh and Eddie is still doing very well in his healing journey after his seizure last Wednesday. 🙏🏾🐶🙏🏾

Update from Eddie HQ:-

Good morning/afternoon everyone. First of all, Eddie and I would like to say a massive and extremely heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to send us their love and best wishes for my baby.

Eddie had a reasonably comfortable night last night, he only woke once and was alert and aware of his environment and surroundings. He needed to p*e, so I went downstairs with him and accompanied him whilst he let forth his sprinkle… Eddie is managing well with the stairs, both in descent and ascent and he also seems to be ‘twitching’ less as time passes.

My eldest insisted that I stay home at all times with Eddie and has taken over the task of grocery shopping each week as we have all agreed that I should stay home for the time being…. Eddie becomes incredibly distraught and distressed when he can’t find me and when I’m not home and even if someone else is, he cries and howls for me. We all agree that him becoming distressed may risk triggering another episode. So, I’m extremely thankful and grateful for the support of my beautiful family and friends who always check in with me each morning for an update on Eddie’s progression.

I cannot thank you all enough for your love, prayers, healing, good thoughts and well wishes sent to Eddie … We are truly grateful and we hope to bring you more new fantasy adventures when Eddie is fully recovered. Thank you for being a part of Eddie’s Adventures and for being a part of Eddie’s healing journey.

We are so lucky to have you with us.

Hello everyone, I just wanted to give you all a quick update as I’ve not been posting as much recently.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Eddie had a seizure which was extremely traumatic and frightening. He was absolutely exhausted afterwards and slept in my arms most of yesterday. He has been assessed by a Vet and the seizure was considered to be rather mild and most likely a ‘one off.’ We’ve been advised that he could take up to 2 weeks to recover properly.

His symptoms seem to be easing now, he developed a sort of twitch but has been twitching a bit less today. His breathing has improved a lot overnight and he’s eating and drinking well. He’s very enthusiastic about his food and treats, which is always encouraging and he’s happy to accompany me around the house and keep me company whilst I work and complete household tasks. He avidly watches my every move with his beautiful brown eyes and is a little more vocal too today. He can manage the stairs well at home and seems brighter in himself today. He won’t be going out for a walk until we are 100% sure he is able to manage it, for now he will rest until he’s fully recovered. We are doing our very best to ensure Eddie doesn’t get triggered into having another episode and part of that care is for me to not leave his side or the house. Even if other family members are home, if I leave the house and Eddie can’t find me, he will become extremely distressed and cry and howl for me, therefore I will remain with him at all times to avoid triggering another episode.

Eddie is the main focal point in the dynamics of this house, when we brought him home in 2014, he changed everything for the better. He made the house a home and we didn’t know how much we needed him until we got him.

Eddie is a senior dog and is currently 14… In early May he will be 15 which is a good age for a small dog, some of whom do manage to reach their early 20’s… Any kind and good thoughts, prayers and healing for Eddie are greatly appreciated. Thank you for being here and for supporting Eddie and me.

I will keep you updated as to his recovery process.

Well thank you so much, Facebook, for the kind acknowledgment… I’ll be sure to let Eddie know that he’s an internet superstar when he wakes up in the morning. He’s fast asleep right now snoring and tooting on my arm.
