To my dear clients, it was a wonderful 12 years of grooming in California. Since we’ve moved to Colorado I miss each and every one of you. Time to move on to a new career. You and your magnificent dogs will always be in my heart. Jan 1, 2021 - I'm now fully retired but still groom my own dogs and the show dogs of my friends!

These are a sampling of the grooms I did over the years. I'm retired from grooming now, but all these dogs--and SO many more that I never got a good photo of while I was grooming them--were my absolute favorites.

This coming Friday (May 29th) we are on the road to Colorado, our new home. Thank you all for being the best clients with the best dogs ever. I will forever miss you all!

This is my very last day of grooming here in California. By this time next week we'll be half-way through our drive to Colorado! I will miss all of my wonderful clients more than I can possibly say.

How very bittersweet it is to be grooming this month--maybe my last month of grooming in California before our move to Colorado Springs--and knowing that each groom I do I have to say good-bye to another wonderful dog and their awesome owners. Can I persuade all of them to move to Colorado, too???? :-)

Inspirational quotes

This is what I feel about grooming! One can never learn enough, one should never stop striving to be even better than one is now. I love making dogs look and feel beautiful, and see the smiles on their owner's faces when they pick up their happy dogs. Grooming is an ART, and should always be treated so!

Great news! My eyesight has improved and I'm grooming again! Now the interesting part is figuring out *where* I'll be grooming while our house is on the market before we move....

The shop is still closed as my eye that had the detached retina is sloooooowly healing. I'm hoping I'll be back to work within another couple of weeks. I'll know more after my next post op appt next Monday Feb 23rd. Until then, I want to thank all my wonderful clients who've sent me such heartfelt good wishes. You're truly the best and I'm the luckiest groomer in America to have such sweet and caring clients!

Photographer and her rescue dog make city walks more fun with balancing tricks

I absolutely LOVE this! A very smart dog owner who understands that her dog needs 1) exercise, 2) lots of it, 3) *MENTAL* stimulation, 4) fun challenges to overcome, and 5) terrific daily bonding experiences with his human. She came up with this idea for their daily 5-mile walks. Note the dog is fit and lean, alert, relaxed, and happy. Love it.

When I adopted my herding mix dog, I knew the average walk wasn't going to cut it for this high-energy guy. Here's how we made things more interesting (plus plenty of photos)!

Yesterday was Friday the 13th. It was a wonderful day in our shop, especially because of the FOUR Scotties we groomed! One black, one brindle, and two wheaten-colored Scotties. I adore Scotties, especially when they're as sweet as these all are! Add to the mix one of our favorite Doodles and the Pugs, and it was an awesome, awesome day.
