Happy Mother’s Day (belated)

I wanted to post this on Sunday but my schedule has been haywire so happy midweek unveil!

Is there anything better than a poodle???

The art vs the artist

I wanted to do this trend last year, but it’s crazy how my art and style has developed over this year! I started out with a cartoon disneyesque style. I didn’t mind drawing that way by it never really felt like me. Now I’ve developed my own which is drastically different but I enjoy it so much more!

I think what changed is I now draw what I want instead of drawing what I think other people would like. Anyway watch this space as new stickers are dropping this weekend!

So here’s SABBATH and NELLY!

My best girlies and the inspiration behind this account.
🖤Sabbath is a toy poodle and just under a year old. I refuse to believe she’s going to be 1 in January! 😭
💚Nelly is a standard wire x mini smooth dachshund and is 4 1/2 years old -I can’t believe she’s going to be 5 in March! 😭

Now the official legislation has been released what’s next for XL Bully owners?

The government are typing XL bully’s by looks not genetics. Check the gov.uk website for exact guidelines but basics are covered.

Your dog is considered an XL what next?
•Microchipping
•Neutering (below age 1 by 31/01/24 must be neutered by 31/12/24. If older than 1 on 31/01/24 then must be neutered by 30/06/24)
•Insurance including third party liability
•Muzzled and leashed in public- start muzzle training NOW.
•EXEMPTION LETTER- you must have one of these to keep your XL by 01/02/24.

BSL is not the answer but all you can do now is prepare for the future.

🖤October is Black Cat Awareness Month🖤

It’s never occurred to myself why there is such a distaste for black cats. Superstitions have surrounded these cute shadows for centuries especially in the Middle Ages when they were thought of as witch familiars. On the big screen the most memorable black cats have been (for me at least) Thackeray Binx from Hocus Pocus and Salem from both the Chilling Adventure of Sabrina and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

But now they are often the most overlooked in shelters and are on average spending 50% longer than other coloured cats.

On average according the RSPCA it takes a ginger cat an average of 19 days to find a home, a tabby 23 days and a black cat 30+ days.
Many speculate it is because the patterning on the other coloured cats makes them more unique. But what is more unique than a fluffy black treat void roaming around the house?

This little print is an ode to all the black cats out there. We see you and love you!
