We are so thrilled to be able to give you the opportunity to discover how great our over the collar bandannas, bow/bow ties and other accessories that Bear and Ivy have been enjoying for years.
Why buy from Crazy Dogs’ Pawtique? Well, we take pride in how are products are made. We only choose the best 100% cotton fabric. We source the fabric made in the USA as much as possible, believe it or not it is not that easy. Add on years of sewing experience, ( I was blessed to be taught to sew by my Mom who was a very talented seamstress). This will bring to your fur babies the best accessories that they deserve and that will bring a smile to you and anyone who sees them wearing their cute over the collar bandannas, bows/bow ties.
Joe and I have lived in Berwick, PA for 23 years, relocating here for my husbands job from Swoyersville, PA. As our friends like to say, “we floated down river.” After we became empty nesters I took over not one but both of our boys bedrooms when they moved out after college. Yep, no chance of them moving back in, LOL. We have been doing craft shows for the past 6 years, when we realized we had an opportunity to share our creations with other Fur Baby Parents. We do shows from Wyoming Valley, Columbia County and all the way down to Lewisburg, PA.
Okay, so why did I decide to do dog bandannas. Well let me tell you a story. It is going to make you laugh and cry. It was in November 2007 when we received a call from a friend who asked if Joe and I could take in an emergency dog rescue. We had just lost our beloved golden retriever Sam and we were not sure if we were ready. But we took our son and we went to meet the dog. We fell in love and new we need to help him. You see, he was found in the woods by a hunter where he was left to die. We won’t give the details. We named him Bear. Bear was about 1 year when we rescued him. Did we mention he is a Lab/Great Dane mix. Yep, a little horse. We soon found that Bear had problems, separation anxiety, fear of loud noises and lyme desease. We struggled with Bear, he destroyed 4 living room suits, broke out of two dog crates. The local furniture store loved us. They would see us coming and start laughing. I tried everything the vets recommended. He even went to doggy daycare, but was kicked out because he tried to get out the doors.I realized he is doing all Bear wanted was to be with us and that he thought he was being abandoned again. One day I was sewing and I thought I am make Bear a bandanna and hopefully this will make him feel like he is part of the family. Well we instantly saw a change in Bear. We mentioned it to the vet on the next visit and she said that is not surprising since our scent in on the bandanna and it is around his neck which makes him feel like we are hugging him. When ever we tell this story people are amazed. We are not claiming this is the solution for every dog, but it help our Bear. Fast forward 4 years and we rescued another Lab/Great Dane named Ivy. She came from a loving home that no longer could keep her because of a family situation. Bear and Ivy love wearing the bandannas so much and Ivy loves wearing the bows.
