My name is Jaycee and I have a love and a passion for rescuing and training horses, especially mustangs! I primarily focus on liberty, obstacle work, and mustang gentling; and work with horses to build a relationship built on trust and clear communication.

The weather hasn't been to great lately but Canyon is still making good progress 🤎

He did amazing his first time wearing a surcingle, he just was a little unsure but no big reaction! He is also getting so much better with tying. He is such a good boy!

Canyon was finally able to get his first trim! 🤎

He only got his front feet done and took it slow so we didn't push his boundaries and he could have a positive first farrier experience. He had a couple big reactions but overall was a very good boy. He needed a trim so badly I am so happy and proud of how far he has come!

Canyon Update 🏜️

This sweet guy is making progress slowly but surely! It definitely takes him a while to become confident with new things but he is making great progress!

He can now be brushed and groomed all over, fly sprayed, willingly haltered and led, and I can pick up his front feet. He also learned how to send out, yeild his hindquarters, leave the roundpen, and we started doing some desensitizing. He can now be turned out in the arena now as well, and has met some new people and done great!

Canyon has such a cute personality, he is such a cuddle bug, he loves his scratches and his timothy pellets haha! He is starting to figure out domestic life isn't so bad!

It's been a few days with Canyon and he is doing amazing! 🤎

This sweet boy is so fun to work with. He is super smart and makes lots of progress every session! The last few days I got my first touches with him, did a lot of desensitization to the halter and ropes, worked on haltering and unhaltering, and started teaching him to lead. We had a pretty exciting first leading session but after that he started to get the hang of it!

I'm excited to see what we get accomplished in the next couple weeks!

Honey's first couple of rides are in the books! 🌻

At first she was very confused about what I was asking, and thought my leg meant do all of her tricks 😂

Her second ride she showed so much improvement and really started to figure out everything and did amazing!

I am very proud of her and am looking forward to seeing her progress and going on undersaddle adventures with her! 🤍

Dani seems to really enjoy it, and so do I! I haven't done it much before and it has been fun experimenting with it. I'm excited to see what fun things Dani will learn!

Nova went to her new home today! 🏡

It was definitely bittersweet saying goodbye to Nova. As it is my goal to help get as many mustangs out if holding as I can, unfortunately I can't keep them all 😂

I am so thankful I got to be apart of Nova's journey, teach her to be a good citizen and prepare her for her future. She helped me learn and grow so much! I am so proud of how far she came from the beginning, she really is a cool little horse.

Nova went to the absolute perfect home in Northern California with Shelly! She is going to be living her best life up there. I couldn't be happier and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them!

Hopefully we will cross paths again soon, but until then, I am going to miss this beautiful girl. 🫶🏼

Along with the TIP Challenge, I also competed in the Temecula Valley Mustang and B***o Open show! 🥇

A bunch of plans got changed around and I showed my filly DG American Honey just for fun. We ended up in hand overall champions! We won a beautiful buckle and some other awesome prizes! I'm so proud of her!

Honey is my 2022 SoCal TIP Challenge filly that I won overall youth champion with! I haven't properly introduced her on here yet! She is my "soul stang" and my best friend even though she's a handful sometimes. She's stuck with me forever lol

A huge thank you again to Luke and his team and everyone who helped put on the TVTC and the mustang show!!

1 year old rabicano mustang filly from Twin Peaks HMA

Nova is 15hh or a little taller and growing!

I trained Nova for the 2023 Temecula Valley TIP Challenge. She placed third overall in the youth division. Nova is a very sweet and willing horse, she was pretty easy to gentle and isn't afraid of much. She is very social, loves everybody and is always ready to work.

Nova can:
-tie
-send over obstacles
-yeild the hindquarters and forequarters
-does really nice pivots
-sidepss both directions
-ground tie
-backup softly
-trot in-hand
-jump
-cross water
-good with dogs
-good with syringes
-can be turned out with other horses
-load in the trailer
-pick up all four feet
-easy to catch
-bathes
-brush/groom
-stands for fly spray
-goes over obstacles
-laydown
-bow
-lunge on a line w/t (she can canter also, but still working on that)
-roundpen w/t/c
and more!

Nova has been off property multiple times. She loads great and is a quiet hauler. She is great with tarps, plastic bags, water bottles, spray bottles, inflatables, popping balloons, loud noises etc. She is fine with blankets, fly masks, etc. She goes over/through every obstacle I've tried with her with little to no hesitation. Nova is great with her feet being handled, and has had farrier work done. She had some baby brain moments figuring out where her legs are and learning how to balance, but with more practice she will be great for trims. Nova is not yet undersaddle and hasn't had much proper preparation to ride as she is only a yearling, but I have had saddles and ba****ck pads on her and she handled everything great. I think she would excel in obstacle events, ranch riding, working equitation, or dressage, but she has great potential for anything you are wanting to teach her! Nova has a great mind and is a very quick learner. She is "in your pocket", and one of the sweetest horses I've ever met. She is an easy keeper and overall has a calm temperament. Although Nova is great being handled by all levels of horsemanship, she is best suited for an intermediate or advanced horse person who is able to further her training.

Nova is an untitled mustang, so the adopter must have a BLM approved adoption application. I am willing to help the adopter with the approval process if necessary.

I am asking $1,### or best offer

This weekend was the 2023 Temecula Valley TIP Challenge ⭐️

Even though Nova had some baby brain moments she pulled through and did amazing! We got fourth in handling and conditioning, second in trail, and third in freestyle making us third overall in the youth division! We won some awesome prizes, I am so happy with her.

I am so thankful that Nova got to be my partner for the last 100 days. I am beyond proud of her. I am forever grateful that I had the opportunity to learn and further my horsemanship with her!

Although we were far from perfect, I am so so so proud of Nova this weekend. She handled everything so well, especially for not being off property that many times before this.

Thank you to everyone who helped and supported me on this journey, and thank you to Luke and everyone who helped make this challenge happen! I got to meet and get to know some super cool people, I had a ton of fun!

I love this big ol' baby stang. She has been amazing to work with and so willing. I can't believe the TIP Challenge is already this week 😳 time sure does fly by!

Honey had a good liberty session today! 🌻 She has been doing really good at liberty recently. We are really focusing on direction changes, holding her bend, softer cues, and cleaning up our sidepasses. I am starting to teach her how to sidepass when we are both facing the same way and she is getting it slowly but surely! I love this girl so much!
