SOS!! DONATIONS NEEDED!! $6,200 in unexpected vet bills.
We have had a vet emergency in the last week, ending up with surgery. Cole is home and healing nicely, but the vet bills are very high so we are seeking donations for Cole's vet care. First vet thought dehydration, maybe acute idiopathic polyradiculoneuritis (or coonhound paralysis, usually acquired from raccoon saliva). But the next morning, after being on IV fluids through the night, he was doing better and walking, though his kidney and electrolytes were still off the charts. Cole was discharged home, but continued being weak and not eating so off to another vet, who said he was extremely sick and took x-rays, which revealed an obstruction in his belly. Linda and Cole were then sent to an ER vet, who performed an ultrasound, which showed a blanket/rag in his belly, but luckily no perforations. Surgery was performed immediately, the blanket piece removed, and Cole is doing much better!!! Kidney functions are back to normal. Cole will be on a diet of rice and chicken for a week or two and definitely needs to put on some weight. Donations may be made through Zelle at [email protected] or through PayPal . Thank you in advance.
