Reptile Rescue Las Vegas After 30 years we have retired or reptile rescue. (see pinned post.) We do have followers looking to adopt. It’s just not a compassionate pet to have. Thanks.

We are going to keep this page live and once a month start a thread where you can post your critters that need a new home. We do not breed reptiles or promote the breeding of any animals until every animal that is in need has a home, especially carnivorous snakes. Every one of these snakes bred is a death sentence to hundreds and thousands of other animals. We know it is natural for snakes to eat

animals. In the wild this happens everyday but really, is a glass, temperature controlled cage in your house the “Wild”? If you have a pet snake it is obviously for your personal pleasure and that pleasure sadly requires the death of many animals that only want to live. I love snakes, I am passionate about their wellbeing but I put the needs of ALL animals before my pleasure. Please think about it before you buy a death sentence to a thousand rabbits, rats and mice. Let nature be nature but in your home skip carnivorous pets and let compassion be your goal.

Happy Holidays! So sorry for the delay, here is the December thread where you can post any critters you have for adoption. If you’re looking to adopt don’t forget to scroll through and other months in case someone is still looking to rehome.

So apparently even though I have all the settings set for the public to be able to post on this page it seems that Facebook is not allowing it. Might be something new. So I think I have a fix, on the first of every month I will pin a post for the month so that people can comment on that thread with Critters they are looking to rehome. That should help you connect with any possible adopters. In the past we also did not allow animals for sale on this page but do not have a problem with a small rehoming fee since we are not available anymore to vet potential adopters. So let’s consider this post the start of September where you can comment below your critter you need to rehome. In November I will start a new thread.

Update: He has moved into his new forever home.

These are the last babies that need a new forever home. They have definitely been spoiled with large habitats. We cannot provide the habitat as ours were custom built into a building but can provide some supplies. DM for more information. We will need to see the habitat you will be providing and then we will go from there. All eat frozen/thawed.

This guy, we think he’s a guy, is an old man, at least 25 years old. About 4 feet long and super gentle.

First off is this super sweet Ball Python. She, we think she’s a she, is about 4 feet long and at least 15 years old.

For over 30 years, Las Vegas Reptile Rescue has always been a labor of love. I would wake up each morning and go out to the “barn” and tend to the needs the animals. Checking temps, cleaning p**p, etc…Until about 10 years ago we typically had 20-40 critters at all times.

A few years back, I turned 60 and realized all good things must end. . I don’t want to be 80 years old cleaning up the p**p of a 12 foot Python. Add to that, we'd like to retire soon. You see, Reptile Rescue was funded completely by my wife and I and we never requested funds so rarely received any financial help when picking up a surrender.

So, with our retirement in arms reach, it appears time for Reptile Rescue Las Vegas to close its doors and allow my wife and I a much needed rest. We are proud of the impact we have made in the lives of the reptiles and are down to our last 3 that will need new forever homes.

That said, we are also in the process of moving and doubt the new homeowner is going to have a use for a reptile “barn” that once held snakes, lizards, and other homeless reptiles. So we are gutting it. Each of those cages had radiant heat panels, UV lighting and decor for each reptiles individual needs. Rather than let them just go to waste, Sunday July 21 and Monday July 22 from 12 noon to 5pm we are having a kind of garage sale for critter supplies. Super cheap as everything must go. Cash only please. We are still organizing but here are a few pics. Check back here Saturday night for the address and please do not show up before or after those times.

Also, remember I mentioned we still have 3 snakes? Well, if you are looking to adopt an adult ball python or one large, 7- foot long boa constrictor you can meet them when you come here. We would need you to bring a photo of the habitat you would be putting them in, the larger the better always fares well with us. They have been spoiled here with large habitats. If you can’t make it here you’re welcome to message a photo and then after the sale is over we will decide who will receive the snakes. We will deliver them to you to be sure they are going into the habitat you say they are going into.

This Reptile Rescue page will remain up so that people looking to re-home their critters can hopefully connect with someone who would like to adopt it. We have never allowed animals for sale on this page but we will allow you to ask for reasonable rehoming fees since we will not be able to vet possible adopters.
