A plea for help … we are going to call this Friday a please help us Friday !

Lately I find myself questioning not only the sanity but the intelligence behind opening Las Nubes Sanctuary Ranch and Haven , when my husband has a debilitating disease that does not allow him to work, and a fight to get SSDI that’s exhausting and heartbreaking. Let’s be brutally realistic, we should have put this energy and effort in to a money making venture: I actually have a really high IQ but when this all started I wasn’t thinking I was just feeling. We were in the middle of a pandemic and people were dying and helping animals felt so very good.

Then the ecoming changed and every day more animals were in desperate need of help. I can not abandon them, we can not turn away from them now - but we need your help please. Here is just a small amount of what we spent to
Make sure they are happy and healthy. We put in the hours everyday … to give them all what they need but we can’t shoulder the financial by ourselves !

Las Nubes Sanctuary Ranch and Haven has rescued some mommy cats and kittens. These are the first two to be adopted out. Socilaized, vaccinated, eye and nasal discharge treated and ready for their new home ! They can only be adopted together and will come with a spay/ neuter contract. They are very sweet and loving. Please message us if you are a great kitty home !

I saw your beauty across time.
The distance of a million miles.
I felt your many hours of hunger within me.
My soul quivered with the threads of your fear.
And yet I heard the warrior beat of your heart from here. Like battle drums. I will not give up.
Travel a hundred lifetimes. Come for me.
Save me.
Your heart heard My race against time.
It heard my heart plead with yours to keep on.
Each Tiny moment when I held my breath found their exhale.
Because I saw your beauty across the distance of a million miles, and you travelled a hundred lifetimes to come home.
I saw your beauty across time.

Some stories are hidden success stories. When I first saw you in a post across the many miles, everything in me wanted to save you. When I met you … the condition you were in taught me in 5 seconds some truths about humanity and some truths about you.
I already loved you, I love you still.
We fought hard to give you the life you always deserved,
In our short time together,
We hope you had a lifetimes worth ….
Of the sun on your beautiful face,
Of the caress of loves soft touch,
Of the treats you loved so much,
Of all the things a horse loves.

We always knew our time was borrowed,
It was a miracle you made it to CA from
Where you fell and couldn’t get up in that horrible lot,
But you did,
And though our hearts are broken,
We understand our job is fulfilled.
The sun has set on your horizon,
You walked towards the light,
And you were not alone.
And you knew loves whisper and loves warm embrace in your final moments,
And in this you are our heartbreaking success story.

The first photos are when we first saw you and later when you had been here a few months.

We hope we fulfilled loves promise to you. We hope in our Tears you know the sweet peace of knowing you were loved and that you understand you travelled a hundred lifetimes to finally come home.

Prayer request. Our ostrich has injured his eye we don’t know how. Calling any vet who might come, since today he’s not wanting to eat. Treating as best we can. We can’t loose him. Please pray.

It’s a life of always wondering where the next dollar will come from …
And one of sacrifice and the sacrifice of your heart and peace.

Yesterday she lost her herd …
And all she knew …
It was the price of trying to save her,
Seized for neglect …
She ended up at a USDA auction…
Where most animals there are headed for slaughter …

Her rescuer needed a home to take her,
That’s where we stepped in.
That’s where Las Nubes stepped in.

She’s safe now and we are doing all we can to keep her happy …
And introduce her to love.
Sacrificing lots of little things to save her and some big ones as well …
But she’s worth it …
