Barkley went back home yesterday after completing a 2 week board and train with us.

This dude is a 6 month old Boxer and all he wanted to do when he first got here was play play play and constantly tell me “I do what I want!”

Barkley eventually learned that training could be fun and even better because it involved food! He excelled at learning a place command, sit-stay, down-stay, recall, release, off and door manners.

We’re gonna miss this guy! Never a dull moment with a boxer puppy around 🙃.

Say hi to Logan!

He’s a 6 year old hound/pitbull mix. Logan has come to stay with us for a board and train for a few weeks because he has some severe anxiety and reactivity.

Logan has some trust issues with new people and is a sensitive soul. We’ve been working on exposure training with him and we’re so proud of how far he’s come.

He also is not a fan of his crate. So much not a fan that he has to be in a impact crate or he will escape out of it. Logan is doing much better settling in his crate now.

Way to go buddy! Keep up the great work!

Meet adorable Millie! She’s a 20 month old Boxer and is your typical fun loving, bouncy boxer.

Millie came to our 2 week board and train program because her owners will be moving to a property that is on 15 acres and would love to let her run free (whenever she’s not inside). The problem was that Millie like most Boxers, struggled with impulse control and has a high prey drive. Which made it difficult for her owners to teach her a reliable recall off leash, especially when distractions were involved.

Millie is a true sweet heart and wants to great every person and dog she meets. However because she had problems with her impulse control she would get extremely over excited on walks or out in public, which made it difficult for her owners to walk her.

This little lady has done tremendous work while she has been here and we sure do hate to see her go but excited to see her thrive being back with her family.

Bates is helping Murphy (who is a 4 year old Labradoodle) not to be reactive to other dogs and people.

Murphy has struggled for years with reactivity towards many things. People, dogs, bicycles and squirrels. We’re helping Murphy’s owner understand reactivity and what triggers her and they both are making great strides!

Meet Rooster! He’s an adorable 9 week old German Shorthaired Pointer. He’s staying with us for a puppy board and train while his owners are out of town.

Roosters owners wanted to make sure that he was continuing his potty training and crate training while they were gone.

It didn’t take long for Rooster to settle in and feel at home! Rooster is a spunky lil guy with lots of energy and I can’t wait to watch this lil guy grow up into a well balanced dog.
