Part of our Maryland Pride family is going through a rough time right now. Obi & Princess Leia are both Maryland Pride pups that went to an amazing & loving family. Princess Leia was their first bulldog baby & they came back to Maryland Pride because they knew they wanted make her a big sister so they gave Obi his place as the little man of the house. Any fur parent knows how awful it feels when we lose one of our fur babies. This family has been going through a very hard time & could use any help anyone could give.

Happy Birthday Big Negan!!
You are missed so much & have not been forgotten for a single day. Our hearts are still sooo heavy. Things have not been the same not for your fellow fur brothers & sisters you had the pack evened out so much more then I would have ever known. Daddy misses you so much but he tries not to say much because he knows how sad it makes us.
You were such a wild little boy & loved your Daddy crazy. I know being a big boy now you have mastered them wings you got. I am sure you are doing loop to loops.
I miss you so much & never thought I would loose you so young. We all miss you so much & talk about your wild ways. Negan you are still in the center of our home & right in the center of our hearts.

We have decided to not breed STORM this time around. Our household has been through a lot in the past year & we could all use a little time to heal emotionally. We will not be having any puppies that we will be planning in the very near future as of now.
But we are not out of the game by far. Our love for this breed runs too deep. We will be finishing up DNA testing for Einstein soon & he will be available to make some beautiful seal babies!!
Einstein wants to show everyone what a package he is!!! He is a gift to the ladies 😃😁😁🎁

My letter sent to heaven

I realized today that Monday will make 5 weeks since we had you in our home. A new month without you, a new year that will begin without you. This day also reminds me that 7 years ago my Blossom was called to heaven. It was my last day with her. I miss you both so very much! Blossom I think about you almost everyday. I have your pictures sitting next to my bed. Negan your picture will be joining hers soon but right now I just can not stop myself from crying whenever I look at your pictures.
I know Blossom is taking care of you showing you her special wings that have a gold tint because she was chosen to be a Christmas angel!!! I know you are driving her nuts trying to keep you clean & stop you from fluttering around with them new little wings. I am sure she is running around trying to keep you all clean & out of trouble. Negan I know by now you would have had to show her your new big boy teeth that you are so proud of! Blossom is probably asking you all sorts of questions but all you want to do is play & use your new wings! I think about how she will try to calm you down to sit by the thrown of Jesus. She will tell you stories of Mommy & Pamela & listening to you tell her excitedly about your fur brother & sister, plus now there is a Daddy & he has some kids you can get food them from but Mama still yells.
When you start to feel sad she tells you she understands & as long as you both do your very best Mommy & Daddy will be able to join you both. She tells you how happy she is you came to help her with her Christmas duties. Plus she will show you how to keep a watch on Mama & Daddy from heaven. Blossom is also letting you know she was so happy to be getting her new little brother! Negan you better be a good boy & listen to Blossom for now.
Mama & Daddy are going to get a mark to help prove we miss you everyday & are waiting to meet back with you. Blossom please tell him not to forget us, keep reminding him! Dont forget save a place for me!!!!
We will never forget either one of you! My heart is in two & I know it will be whole again when I get to see my babies. We love you both more than words could ever explain. For now Negan help Blossom get ready for all her Christmas stuff & next year she will have to help you get all kinds of Thanksgiving day yummies together. Negan loved looking at all the Christmas stuff & lights so I am sure he will be following you ever place & was super excited when he found out his own fur sister was a Christmas angel. I know Neagn is getting impatient wanting to play now so I will end the letter.

We love you both so much it makes my heart ache & my eyes leak. I can not wait until I get to see you two babies with your wings.

I know I did not get into the details of losing our Negan & many people have questions because of his age. I did not post specifics for several reasons some should be very obvious to anyone that has lost a furbaby or is a dog lover. To answer some questions no it was nothing genetic or passed down. It was nothing in our bloodline or our studs bloodline that contributed to him getting sick. Our STORM is dna tested & Negan was healthy. Losing Negan is 100% on me that this tragedy occurred to our family. It is nothing to due with his breed or genetics.
I just wanted to answer questions some have had & provide some clarification concerning the loss of our baby. I am always here for any questions.

After finally pulling myself out of bed getting the swelling to go down on my eyes enough to be able to see my phone screen I need to take time to thank the amazing staff at our veterinarian office. I never in a million years thought would thank someone for delivering devastating news to me or taking one of our furbabies out of our lives. With that being said Thank you so much to our amazing vet Dr. Shell & thank you so much Ms. Brandi! You both went beyond anything I could expect. You both were professional but not in the way I hate not in that cold, fake compassionate way. You showed you really cared, you showed feelings, you did not make us feel uncomfortable or unreasonable. Dr. Shell you did everything you could think of to help us to try & save our baby. I could tell it hurt you to have to tell us the truth. You wanted to make it different tell us something different as much as we wanted to hear something different. Most important you were honest, you did not try & take advantage of our weakness & lead us on knowing we would have paid into anything if we were given false hope it would save our baby. Ms Brandi we could tell you were upset & was trying so hard to do your job & be as gentle as you could with his test. Thank you for loving Negan & taking the time to want to be near him before he had to leave us.
That day it was not just my mind thinking everyone had to feel as sad as we were. Everyone had to feel as devastated as we did. I could tell we all felt the same heavy heart. Having you both with us was like having family with us & I knew Negan knew he was loved & was surrounded by faces he knew cared about him. Thank you from our family & the bottom of our hearts. You will never fully understand how appreciative I am.

Today when we woke up we had no idea our day was going to take such an dark & awful turn. Our baby boy Negan crossed Rainbow Bridge today. He was held in his persons arms his Daddy while he made his journey. This was far from anything we expected to happen. He was loved very much & our hearts are hurting so much right now. It has taken me so much time to even put this post together my mind is not able to cope right now so I do want to thank everyone in advance for prayers & thoughts because I know I am not going to be on here answering for awhile.

Happy Birthday to Storm a.k.a Bug. You are such a loving, sweet, determined, girl in a compact wrinkly little body. My bully girl that goes by many names!!
Storm favorite food is almost anything especially brussel sprouts. She will not touch a pretzel if one should fall.
Her favorite past time is bickering with Piper. She loves to hog the sofa also but is learning to share space. She is most protective of her little son Negan & enjoys rolling in dirt.
Storm you are so loved & always make everyone laugh when you look around with that super resting bitc* face you give. 😍😘🤩🤗🐕🐾🎂🍰🎉🎈

It is getting to be that time of year. The weather is changing & the holidays are getting near. Halloween & Christmas were always my favorite holidays. I still love them both but ever since the Christmas I lost this beautiful girl it has changed it all for me a bit. Now when it draws near I think more about that awful night when my precious Blossom became a Christmas angel. I think about her almost daily I still have her picture next to my bed. I know she would not want me to feel sad but I just still miss her so much. She was very special & because of her I have developed such a love for this breed. Blossom I know you watch down & I know you know how much you ate still loved, missed, & talked about. Until we meet again baby girl.
