Brownie update:
She is doing fantastic with training. She LOVES to learn and use her brain and is so eager to please. Here's a small sampling of what we've been working on this last week. She's only a week into training and has learned so much. I look forward to sharing more of her progress soon!

Hi everyone, I am going to be sharing some videos over the next two weeks of Brownie who is here for a 2 week Board and Train. She's available for adoption through Rimrock Humane Society. I wanted to showcase some of what I teach during a B&T and also what Brownie is learning as we get her ready to find her new family. Here's her intro video and stay tuned for more to come!

Happy New Year, thank you all for a rocking first week of the new year! I'm so thankful to all the people who ventured out in it to bring their dogs to us. And for everyone who chose to reschedule I always 100% support that decision, safety is of utmost important.

I also have an announcement: starting February 1st we're going to be taking a short hiatus from boarding and daycare, until we get grooming moved into town. Which is the perfect time for this because winter is our slowest season for those services and we will have it open again by spring at the latest when it picks back up. We have something in the works for moving but I don't want to jinx it so we're going to keep it on the down low until it's locked in. But we're extremely excited about it! We will still be grooming through this transition.

As a lot of you have seen lately when we have a kennel full of boarding dogs and grooming dogs coming and going it can be very loud and stressful. Our whole business is built on providing a calm experience for all of our clients and their pets which is why we made this decision. But it is only temporary during this transition.

Thank you everyone for your continued support and trust with your precious pets. We wish you all the best new year and are excited for many new exciting opportunities coming up!

A lot of people choose to not get their dogs groomed during the winter because they don't want them to get cold. This sadly leads to many dogs coming in in the spring matted and uncomfortable. Thankfully there is a solution! You can schedule your dog for a bath. And it's more than just a bath. Your pup gets thoroughly brushed and combed out to help catch and prevent any mattes starting to form. They also get their face, feet, and sanitary areas trimmed up so they can see and aren't bringing any unpleasant di**le berries back into the house 🤢. This weekend we had our most recent training graduation! Both a Beginner class and our first Canine Good Citizen (CGC) class. Everyone has worked really hard the last two months and did amazing!

The videos at the end are an exercise I love to do on the last day of beginner class. We have the dogs one at a time do a recall across the room having to ignore the other dogs and people in class. For most dogs that come to class that would seem like an insurmountable feat on the first day. But by the end they have learned the joys of learning and following their handlers cues.

Unfortunately illnesses and other life circumstances kept about half our students from making it the last day so they're not pictured but those teams worked just as hard and deserve recognition too.

I've already had requests for another beginner class and additional advanced classes. Those will probably all wait until spring as we continue to navigate through Jon's injury. But I have so many more things I want to teach so it will happen!

I'm couldn't be more proud of all of my students and their hard work and dedication to their dogs!
