Happy New Year, thank you all for a rocking first week of the new year! I'm so thankful to all the people who ventured out in it to bring their dogs to us. And for everyone who chose to reschedule I always 100% support that decision, safety is of utmost important.

I also have an announcement: starting February 1st we're going to be taking a short hiatus from boarding and daycare, until we get grooming moved into town. Which is the perfect time for this because winter is our slowest season for those services and we will have it open again by spring at the latest when it picks back up. We have something in the works for moving but I don't want to jinx it so we're going to keep it on the down low until it's locked in. But we're extremely excited about it! We will still be grooming through this transition.

As a lot of you have seen lately when we have a kennel full of boarding dogs and grooming dogs coming and going it can be very loud and stressful. Our whole business is built on providing a calm experience for all of our clients and their pets which is why we made this decision. But it is only temporary during this transition.

Thank you everyone for your continued support and trust with your precious pets. We wish you all the best new year and are excited for many new exciting opportunities coming up!

A lot of people choose to not get their dogs groomed during the winter because they don't want them to get cold. This sadly leads to many dogs coming in in the spring matted and uncomfortable. Thankfully there is a solution! You can schedule your dog for a bath. And it's more than just a bath. Your pup gets thoroughly brushed and combed out to help catch and prevent any mattes starting to form. They also get their face, feet, and sanitary areas trimmed up so they can see and aren't bringing any unpleasant di**le berries back into the house 🤢. This weekend we had our most recent training graduation! Both a Beginner class and our first Canine Good Citizen (CGC) class. Everyone has worked really hard the last two months and did amazing!

The videos at the end are an exercise I love to do on the last day of beginner class. We have the dogs one at a time do a recall across the room having to ignore the other dogs and people in class. For most dogs that come to class that would seem like an insurmountable feat on the first day. But by the end they have learned the joys of learning and following their handlers cues.

Unfortunately illnesses and other life circumstances kept about half our students from making it the last day so they're not pictured but those teams worked just as hard and deserve recognition too.

I've already had requests for another beginner class and additional advanced classes. Those will probably all wait until spring as we continue to navigate through Jon's injury. But I have so many more things I want to teach so it will happen!

I'm couldn't be more proud of all of my students and their hard work and dedication to their dogs!

And no need to worry about your cats, birds, horses, chickens, goats, etc. We offer pet sitting visits where we can come to your home and take care of those pets too.

Hello Everyone,

Time for an update on Jon and his leg. Today we went to his follow up appointment. Long story short he's going to be out and recovering the rest of this year, possibly longer.

Now because of this we've had to make some strategic decisions for our business. Since science hasn't figured out how to allow me to be in two places at once we are going to postpone moving to town. Which is quite the timing because we were going to finally get to sign the lease this weekend. But there are still going to be good things happening at that space with another local business so keep an eye out for that!

Once Jon is all healed up and back to work we will get back to our plan of moving to town! But in the meantime we're going to put some work into our space here at our property! We will continue offering all of our services, just like we have for the past year and a half (can't believe we've already been open that long!)

And lastly we want to thank everyone. People have brought us meals, called and texted, and been beyond understanding when I've had to make last minute schedule changes. We really couldn't ask for a better or more supportive community. We love caring for your furry family members, but really the coolest part of what we do is all the amazing relationships we've built. Thank you everyone for being apart of our Kindred Spirits family and we look forward to continuing to serve you and your pets 💖

Hey Everyone, just wanted to give you all an update with what's going on with us. Yesterday (monday) Jon and I were working around our property and he fell and broke his leg. I had to call 911 to get help getting him to the ER. We want to give a huge shout out to our local EMS and police as they were amazing. In the chaos of all of that one of my horses got out of the gate and the officer (I wish I remembered her name) helped me get him back. We also had help from our neighbors with our horses and they came over to see if Jon was alright while we waited for the ambulance. We are so blessed to live in such a great town with such a strong sense of community.

I am taking today off from work to get Jon situated and am waiting to hear from Billings Clinic Orthopedics to see when he can get seen there. However, tomorrow I'll be back to work like normal so don't hesitate to give me a call or schedule online if you need us! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this rough patch. But we know God and our community are with us and we'll get through this 💗

Raven and I passed puppy training class at Blue Creek Canine! First certificate done! We had so much fun at training. And even as a dog trainer I always learn stuff. I always want to stay humble and open to more learning. And each dog also has something new to teach us. Next we're going to take their Body Awareness and Movement class to help this growing girl gain some coordination lol. I've got big goals for her and so far she's rocking it!

2nd update: we had internet for a day and it's back down. No redneck fixing it this time lol. So we'll be without until sometime on Tuesday. We'll get to where we have signal periodically to check messages but please be patient with us. Thanks!
Update: for the moment Jon has patched our internet! No garuntee it'll hold, so we are still having it serviced Tuesday but for now we are back online!
Our internet is down and won't be fixed until sometime on Tuesday. Until then text 406-218-1573 is the best way to get in touch with us. We also can't process card payments without internet so it'll need to he cash or check or you can venmo us. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for understanding!
In some good news we stopped by our soon to be shop on main street and it's coming along great! We're so excited to move in soon. But in the meantime we are still open for grooming on our property. We also stopped over at Big Horn Signs and picked up our new business cards and hoodies!
