I got my MRI results. I did injure a muscle in my back that attaches to my shoulder blade. But nothing surgical thankfully! Also they had seen a weird thing in my xray that they were concerned about it, but it's just a fluid filled cyst inside my bone and not anything of concern, just weird lol.
So they sent me for physical therapy which I started today and I am back on light duty grooming while it heals. Jon is still of course working with me which is a godsend because of how much he can do.
We are pretty much booked up for grooms the rest of this week and part of next week as we get caught up.
Thank you so much to everyone that we had to reschedule. Yall were so kind and understanding. I feel awful whenever i have to reschedule anyone (which is why I'm glad scheduling is Jon's job now lol) but we have the most caring clients I just can't thank you enough for your patience. And I am so excited to be back to work 🤗

I recently slipped and fell and landed on my shoulder. I went to the doc and it's not broken but they want to do an MRI, which is scheduled for Wednesday but i am calling daily to see if they have any cancellations and i can get in sooner. I am not supposed to groom until they see whats going on. We are still taking pet sitting, daycare, and boarding dogs and Jon can do baths and nail trims. Jon has been diligent about getting ahold of people to reschedule them. Please bear with me through this, I am super frustrated right now. Which is why I included a funny cartoon in this post. It made me giggle because my cats have done this exact thing to me more than once. I'll keep everyone posted when we know what's going on with me.

1st Graduating Class from Kindred Spirits Pet Care Dog Training school! 🥳💖🐕🎊🎉
I couldn't be more proud of this group of people and dogs. They all worked so hard and invested so much in their dogs. Everyone comes to dog training class for different reasons and with different struggles or goals and it's amazing to get to help facilitate them with learning and growing. No one left this class at the same place they started. Due to their willingness to learn and put in the effort both in class and out of it they all have made huge improvements on their individual journeys, and I couldn't be more proud!
I look forward to putting on an advanced class in the near future as well as another beginner class. If you and your dog are interested in joining us for a future class please reach out to get put on our contact list.
And if you see any of these fine folks and their dogs out and around town make sure to congratulate them on a dog well done!

I got to groom the rest of the dogs today that came into Rimrock Humane Society recently, I had done the most severely matted two a few days ago. The dogs don't have names yet which is why the pictures are numbered. It takes a community to care for a community and I'm so glad to get to be apart of this one. And I just want to do a huge shout out to Stephanie for all she does running the rescue, it's a huge job that not just anyone could do, I'm honored to get to be apart of what she's doing. .

I hope everyone is having a safe fun 3 day weekend and enjoying our beautiful Montana weather. And I also hope we can all take a moment to remember the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice. In a time when there is so much hurt and division in our country let's remember to look beyond ourselves and be grateful for all that unites us and the people who gave all to make that possible.

Hi everyone! We are back from our "vacation" it ended up being more of a staycation because of the weather but we had a great relaxing time and got stuff done.
We went to Bozeman and picked up a sheep friend for Lady who was obviously lonely, she's so much happier with her new friend Minnie.
We finally got our shed that the wind destroyed and blew into the horse pen, all cleaned up and taken to the dump.
We took Mac to the zoo, the Reef, and White Sulphur Springs for some much needed fun. All the animals at the zoo loved Mac and would come over to interact with her.
We also finally had Mac's appointment with the pulmonary specialist. They're going to do sleep study to see if she has sleep apnea, and they put her on a daily inhaler to try and better control her asthma. Hopefully better sleep will be in her future!
She had her first two tball games and did amazing! Tball is probably about the cutest little kid sport. I love watching all the little munchkins running around. And I commend all the awesome volunteers and coaches who work so hard to try and keep them on track.
We also did some work on our dog yard and made it almost twice the size, still all fenced in with 6ft fencing. Our boarding and daycare dogs are going to love it! And we deep cleaned and rearranged the shop. Wait till you all see it!
Thank you all so much for your understanding and support of us taking some much needed family time off. We are re-energized and excited to be back at it and serving you and your pets.

This weekend begins our vacation. We will be back to normal operations May 7th, and of course we will still have dog training class on Saturdays. If you want to schedule any services for when we are back feel free to still reach out, we may not be as prompt but we will get back to you, or you can use our online booking at pawpartner.com. We are so blessed by the overwhelming love and support we get from our clients. We love being apart of your lives and look forward to seeing you all in 2 weeks!

We had an AMAZING first group training class today! Thank you everyone who showed up, it was great to have so many people wanting to pour into their dogs and learn. And it was also a ton of fun! I'll be sending out an email going over what we did in class today so you all can continue practicing this week so you are ready to build on it next week.

And for anyone who is interested in training but couldn't attend this class feel free to reach out and I'll add you to my contact list when I have another class planned. I plan to offer more than just beginner classes, and add focused 1 day seminars so keep a look out for other opportunities as well.

Tomorrow starts our first group dog training class! For the next 7 weeks Saturday grooming appointments will be available from noon-4pm.If anyone else would like to sign up for class last minute I have 2 spots left. I sent out a group text to all registered students but just in case anyone didn't receive it I'm going to share it here. I'm looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Hello everyone, this is Mary with Kindred Spirits. Training class starts this saturday!
It will run every Saturday from 10am-11am ish (depending on questions we have and material we need to get through) for the next 7 weeks.

Location: It will be held at the community center at 700 3rd st W. In the main upstairs gym.

Payment: Please bring $105 in either cash or check to the first class. If check, please make it out to "Roundup Schools" as this is part of their adult education program.

What you need: Please bring your pup, have him/her on a leash (no flexi leashes please) and collar or harness, and LOTS of treats. Find something especially yummy for your pup. Can be store bought treats, shredded chicken, cubed cheese, cut up hotdogs, or whatever your dog thinks is the best thing ever!

Dog etiquette: All handlers should respect the space of other handler/dog teams and should NOT allow their dogs to interact before or during class. Dogs will be learning to focus on their handlers despite distractions, and a large group of dogs in a new environment can be very stressful.

And above all come prepared to learn and have fun! Learning with our dogs should always be a joy. Try not to worry about your dog "messing up" that's why you all are coming to class and no one will judge you and all words spoken between students should be positive and uplifting. Let's have a safe fun time together!

Max came and hung out with us for a board and train as a last step before being put up for adoption. We miss him a lot since he went back to his foster home. His fun happy personality brought a lot of joy to our facility. Many of you all helped him with his training by saying hi and giving him treats. He's now ready to find his new home and start the best chapter in his life. If you're interested in meeting Max please reach out to Rimrock Humane Society let's find this boy his perfect home, he deserves it ❤️

Announcement:
Our family will be taking a vacation the end of this month. We have been so blessed and really hit the ground running as soon as we opened up back in July. We are all ready booking up for an extremely busy summer so we want to take a little time to recharge, do some camping, and get a few projects done around our property before the full swing of summer. We will be closed for grooming, boarding, daycare, and private training, but of course will still be teaching the dog training group class that is starting next saturday (still have a couple spots open)!
If you'd like to get your pup in for some grooming before our vacay just let us know. April 20th will be our last day and then we will be back open on May 7th.
Thanks to all of you wonderful folks who are apart of our lives and trust us to care for your furry family members. We wouldnt be here without you!

Here's some pics showing some of what all we've been up to recently 😉. Grooming has gotten crazy busy with the arrival of spring, and boarding, daycare and pet sitting are going strong. We're getting close to the kick off of our first group training class starting on the 20th. We've only got 4 spots left so if you've thought about joining but haven't committed yet give us a call. I'll be sending out more information soon to make sure everyone is prepared for the first day of class.

It's been so exciting that more and more people are bringing in their cats to be groomed. I absolutely love getting to work with them!
I offer everything from just a nail trim, to Lion cuts, and baths. Cats absolutely deserve a spa day too 😻

We have finally gone live with our new software! If you've provided your email you should have gotten and invite to set up your free account. If not just follow this link https://pawpartner.com/pz/book?p=1470641 It's a very easy process to set up your pet's account and then whenever you want you can schedule an appointment for any of our services online! And no more annoying google forms for boarding visits, all questions are available through the software. Also, if you allow for notifications and you'll get a reminder of your upcoming appointment the day before, be given a notification when your pet is done with their grooming appointment, and will be notified when we upload pictures of your pet during their boarding or daycare stay. There's tons of great features! If you have any questions please reach out to us so we can help you. And remember we are always still available by text or call at 406-218-1573. We've had an awesome busy week and gotten to be apart of the lives of so many animals. Dog grooming, cat grooming, boarding, board and train, and pet sitting. It's been a lot of work but so much fun! And we're already booking up for next week and even booking into the summer for boarding. Thank you everyone for letting us care for your furry family members.
