It's important that you switch your pet's food gradually. Switching food too fast can lead to tummy issues for your furry friends, which you'll probably see splashed all over your new rug. To transition, mix your pet’s current food with their new one over 7 days until they get used to it. What's your pet's favorite food?😺🐶

What's your dog's most favorite indoor activity?

Remember that weekend when your parents took you out on a road trip that felt like you were stuck in the car forever?🤔 That's how your dogs feel when they can't go out for a walk. 🐶Like the game "I SPY". dogs have their indoor game version called "Nose work games". Oh, dogs love this game.❤❤❤ When you teach your dog basic nose work games such as find your treats, you're not only mentally tiring them (in a good way) but you are also helping them hone some of their natural skills. (chopped up carrots and dog biscuits are my favorite treat to use for this game)😋

Grab those treats and have your dog watch as you hide them around the room. Give your dog the cue to find the treats you hid and encourage them to pick every single one. Remember to praise them every time they find one. After some practice, you can step up their game. Have them stay in another room as you hide the treats, and start placing them in spots that they have to sniff out such as under a rug.

Your dogs will surely love you for this activity. 😁

Don't wait for illness to start valuing wellness.😸🐶

Regular trips to your vet are a crucial part of overall doggy wellness. When you adopt a new puppy or an older dog, make sure that you take them to the vet within two weeks to check that they're up to date on vaccines, stocked up on flea and tick prevention measures, and there aren't any noticeable health conditions lurking. Vets can also point out areas where your dog may need some extra care, such as cleaning their ears, helping them with anxiety, and provide general training and obedience tips.

How long have you been training your dog? Maybe your pup already knows how to play fetch and rollover. But those are just the most basic of all the tricks that you could teach them though. There is also the army crawl, salute, and probably the handstand which can leave other pet parents impressed once your little guy has mastered them.

"A balanced diet and regular exercise are extremely important for pets, just like they are for humans, and many of the health benefits of a healthy lifestyle are the same."

Pets that are overweight are at risk for a myriad of health issues. Obesity is the number one nutritional disease seen in pets currently and studies have shown that being overweight or obese can shorten a dog or cat’s life span by as much as two years. Why? Being overweight or obese puts your pet at risk for joint disease, heart disease, and diabetes, among other things.

So get off that couch and start walking! Get fit with your dog. Stop wishing and start doing it. 🐕💪

Meet Sticky Rice 🐶🍚
Sticky (➡️right) is the smartest doggo ever who can read the behaviour of humans and always knows what you're up to. It's great for doing tricks, but he also knows how to use it to get endless amounts of attention and treats. He's basically a human in a fur suit, as he hates being social with other dogs but loves being close to his favorite people.

Behind every great dog is an even greater female dog, and that's Rice (⬅️left)! She's strong, attractive and loves playing fetch. When Sticky gets too much attention because of his tricks (whining) she gets a bit jealous but being the good girl that she is she'll try to not show it :p

Meet Xiao Fu 🐱 (小福 - means little blessing in Chinese), we found her as a stray cat in Shanghai. When we first found her she was in a pretty bad shape, and we spent three months fixing her up together with the vet. These days Fu is a healthy, happy but super naughty little cat. She chases anything that moves and always wants to eat what we eat.

Meet Dumpling 🐢 - our tiny office turtle! He's about the size of a big dumpling and since he spends most of his time in warm water it seemed like an appropriate name. This type of turtle is very common in Asia but quite rare in other parts of the world. They can be found in creeks and rivers, but this one lives at the Lucky Pet Design Co. office in his mega-tank.
