Sadly this is what K9 cognitive disfuntion and a possible brain tumor looks like. This is coco in her kennel. She will circle like this for hours. Usually her medication kicks in but sometimes she will still circle for 5-6 hours

Certain factors are demonstrable indicators of a dog’s likeliness to be aggressive. Those factors include:

Fearfulness. Perhaps unsurprisingly for dog lovers, fearful dogs were found to be much more likely to behave aggressively than non-fearful ones — up to five times more likely, to be precise.
Pain. Aggressive dogs were sometimes found to have a medical condition such as hip dysplasia, which caused them pain and marred their overall wellbeing.
Age. Older dogs were more likely than younger ones to act aggressive. The team speculates that this might be down to suffering from a disease that causes pain, leading to aggression as described above, or because of sensory impairment that makes the approach of humans seem sudden and thus more frightening.
S*x. Male dogs were found to be more aggressive than female (though in an email to AKC.org, one of the study’s authors noted that previous studies had contradicted these findings).
Size. The study found that small dogs were more likely than medium-sized and large ones to be aggressive, but there was no difference between midsized dogs and large ones.
Environmental factors. Dogs who live in households with no other dogs, and dogs whose owners had never previously had a dog, were more likely to be aggressive than dogs with canine housemates or experienced owners.

Have you wondered what makes dogs act aggressive? Or what makes a dog lash out in aggression? New research has some ideas.

Your dog doesn't need to greet every other dog.

Rather than encouraging your dog to engage with other dogs, it’s far safer to teach them neutrality by asking your dog to turn attention toward you instead. This skill is easiest to teach with young puppies when you first introduce them to walking by rewarding them for any attention they give you on a walk. But while it’s great to start building these skills when your dog is you, you can absolutely teach it and reinforce it with older dogs.

Although most puppies are dog social, in adulthood most dogs become dog selective or dog tolerant. Some may even become dog reactive.

Coco Now and as a Little Pup. As Pup she survived Parvo. Now that Coco has Canine Demitia I found this article very helpful.

I didn't really know this was a thing but Coco will
* Get lost in the middle of the room.
* Has forgotten how to come back in through the dog door, though she knows how to go out.
* Barks randomly
* Wanders the house.
* Sometimes forgets to go potty outside

But she is still very chipper, likes to go outside and go for walks. So her quality of life is still there.

Dogs, like humans, can suffer from degenerative brain conditions in their senior years. These conditions are called canine dementia or Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (CCD).There are many symptoms of canine dementia. The warning signs can be slow to develop, which is why dementia is often undiagnosed.
