I love bringing Pax and Pixie on vacation- but only after I’ve considered these 3 things⬇️
1️⃣Will they enjoy what we’re doing?
•Our most recent trip was to the Outer Banks, the dogs did tons of swimming, exploring new trails, and spent lots of time outside. They loved every minute of it- so it was the perfect trip for them to tag along!
2️⃣Do they have the training skills to tag along?
•Pax and Pixie are great in the car, walk nicely on leash, aren’t reactive, and are comfortable being left alone in new places. These are all skills I deem necessary for a good travel pup! I don’t want to have to worry about accidents, destroying items, or them being stressed!
3️⃣Do you REALLY want your dogs there?
•If you want to rest and relax on vacation- maybe bringing your dog isn’t for you! Even on vacation they still require exercise, enrichment, time, attention, and to have their training upheld. If that doesn’t sound like vacation to you, no shame in leaving them with a trusted member of your dog’s care team!
