Emmalyn and Millie are just the best of friends! The rest of the family loves Millie so much. Millie is back with us for a short visit while her family enjoys a much needed getaway to the beach!

Millie graduated today from Puppy Manners School! This sweet pup is just perfect for her new family. The timing is also perfect as Emmalyn has 2 weeks off from treatments. I see lots of girl bonding in Millie’s future! Seeing happy faces makes all of the hard work worth it!

Emmalyn met Millie last weekend and it was love at first sight! Millie is the perfect fit for this wonderful family. Millie will be in training for several more weeks while Emmalyn is finishing her current course of treatment. She’s a strong young lady and has an amazing support system.

Meet Emmalyn! Emmalyn is a bright, fun, goofy 9 year old who loves to make people laugh and brightens every room she enters. Earlier this year, she was experiencing severe pain in her head and ears. After thinking it was a bad ear infection and going to numerous doctors she was finally admitted to the hospital where they discovered a tumor in her head. Unfortunately, this lead to a diagnosis of Stage 3 Rhabdomyosarcoma, Emmalyn’s specific case is both very rare and aggressive.

Emmalyn loves spending time with her brother and sister, playing games with her family and friends, and loves just being a loving caring little girl.

She is super excited for the opportunity given to her by Milo’s Puppy Boot Camp and Dreamcatcher Bernedoodles, and cant wait to meet her new friend Millie.

Sweet therapy/ESA dog Tucker, our Milo’s Paws For A Cause dog, got the big snip snip this morning. His vet, a good friend of ours, sent us his before and afters 🤣. Tucker was also an amazing comfort for his family over the last several days as one of their close family members made their way to their next life. This boy is just amazing with his calm demeanor. He may be Josh’s ESA dog, but he’s always helping those around him.

Today was the day that we’ve been waiting for for 9 months! Tucker is now officially home with his new bff Josh! Our very first Milo’s Paws For A Cause puppy! Thank you to everyone who made this possible: .imadi for finding the perfect family, for the perfect puppy and our team of trainers who donated their time. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two boys!

Meet Tucker!!! He is a standard Goldendoodle and is arriving on Wednesday from Colorado. He will be trained with several of our trainers over the next 4 months for therapy work, before meeting his new BFF Josh!

Sadly, Miss Rosie has shown a structural issue with her hips and will not be placed with Josh. We do have another puppy arriving from out west next week and we are very excited to start working with him. This puppy has been temperament tested twice and is perfect for Josh and his family! Meet Rosie! She’s is our new future BFF for Josh. Sadly, Paxton’s assessment showed that he was not the right fit for Joshy.

We are pleased to announce a project we have been working on for some time. Milo’s Puppy Boot Camp was created 7 years ago when our founder, Penny, left the corporate world to become a caregiver for her father. After his passing in late 2019, she wanted to focus her “caregiver” efforts in another direction. That’s when Milo’s Paws For A Cause was born! We have chosen our first family to begin this journey.

Meet Josh! Josh loves all things sports, school, his family and his friends. Josh is well liked by his peers and cares deeply about those around him. Over the last two and a half years he has had 2 brain surgeries, countless MRI's, doctor's and therapy appointments, that are all part of his protocol and continuity of care. Josh is now a thriving first grader, who still, at times, experiences anxiety, processing delays and weaknesses on his right side.

Paxton is a special AussieDoodle, with a calm, gentle spirit. He will go through extensive training and will be able to support Josh when needed. Paxton will spend time with a few of our trainers to give him the best training possible for Josh before he heads to Maryland to live this summer.

Everyone is excited for these two to become best friends. Stay tuned ...this match is going to be EPIC!
