She actually uses him for her trainings, for others! Anyone interested in continuing this work, will be connected with her and start immediately! Tigger is really is thriving with this type of work! Little tripawd Roo is just so adorable and absolutely loves his big brother. These boys fought very hard to survive the streets of Texas, where I saved them. Both were half their current weight when saved, and beyond emaciated. With time, love and dedication, these boys are now ready for their new life and their second chance, together!

An amazing foster in San Antonio has come through to take the best care of her while we sort through things and navigate a bit with vets.

Penny is now at second vet 💔
This baby girl has been named Penny. Her luck just isn’t coming, though. The ER vet last night told me to euthanize her. I couldn’t. I knew she fought that hard to survive that long…
Now, she’s at another vet after a few hours transport with @eddietabor and this vet is also saying- her spinal cord is severed, she will have no quality of life- no use or function of her lower half and there are many risks… basically she will need to be taken care of with potties, wheels, making sure her skin and circulation are ok…
I’m at a loss. I’ve been crying like she’s already gone, yet so badly fighting to keep her here. I just want her to know love. Is there anyone out there that would be willing to give this girl a home that she will require? I just need time to see what is best for her…what she really wants…this is beyond devastating. Someone did this to her. And everyone ignored her. We owe it to her to do whatever is best for her and I am at such a loss as to what that really is. 💔

My transport ANGEL successfully got this baby out!! And is at emergency vet in Mission, TX as we speak. But, here is the unimaginable reality- this baby was hit by a car YESTERDAY!!! She then dragged herself around the neighborhood (her back legs do not work and her body is covered in road rash) before collapsing at a fence on someone’s property. The kid at the home (whose parents are apparently away ) found the puppy and posted a pic to Facebook asking for help. He received no help, whatsoever!! He then pulled her under his house last night. I got word 5 hrs ago so and started work asap! Only at 6ish did things start to finally come together- that is how LITTLE help there is on the ground and how MUCH falls on too few. And the ones that help- angels!! I can’t thank you enough, @eddietabor
It’s sooooo hard! But, all the tears and stomach knots are worth it when I heard Eddie call and say that he did find the pup…and she was still alive! I have absolutely no idea what this is going to cost. But I hope anyone that can, will help me, help her. 🙏🏽💜 This puppy fought hard to survive. And now it’s time to fight FOR her.

Survived streets for quite some time to be as Emaciated as they are… but they survived bc they had eachother! Had a foster and sent them to get all their vetting and scheduled for transport. Then, foster bailed and now they are at risk. Need a home by 5 pm tonight to still get them onto transport and out of Texas. Please, someone help me keep these babies together and safe!! Spread the word! Roo lost part of his front leg, while fighting to survive, but it has healed over and he doesn’t care!! So long as he’s with his buddy, Tigger, life is good! 💙

Angel is homeless. Again 😔
This is such a hard post to write. It’s taken me few days, actually, bc I needed to sit on what to say here…and my heart is breaking for Angel.
Simply, Angel isn’t getting along with her furbrother & adopter does not want her anymore. (FYI- No blood or emergency or even a vet visit)
Angel went to her “forever,” home in May and had been great with other dogs. I insisted on training tho, before even signing off on this adopter, as Angel is a puppy (only a year) and had so much trauma already (nearly decapitated) so she needed to be set up for success!! She needed to learn what a safe and loving home was like, and how to behave and what boundaries were.
Adopter promised this, but never gave this to her. So, Angel still has had no training to date.
She also did not get the few weeks of decompression- another rule most rescues have, so as to slowly let them adjust to their whole world being turned upside down - new strangers, new animals, new sounds, new smells, new expectations… it’s overwhelming. And dogs need time to decompress and adjust before a slow integration with other house mates takes place, and only after they feel safe and can dispel the anxieties or fears of everything so new and scary or overwhelming.
Angel didn’t get this either- within 24 hours, she was thrown in with the other house dog.
Angel was set up to fail. It’s that simple.
It is no fault of Angel’s that she is in this position, now, and my heart breaks for her. The commitment to her and promise to “do whatever she needs,” never happened. And Angel is homeless again.
While Angel was great with other dogs before, she will probably do better in a home without other dogs, at this point, until training takes place to help her successfully through her new fears and uncertainty.
Angel also still needs training, but more than anything- commitment.
