🩷 KITANNA showers everyone she meets with kisses and nuzzles! She was surrendered to the shelter because her owner was moving to a place that didn’t allow pets. When asked what her favorite thing about KITANNA is, her parent didn’t hesitate and said, “Everything! She’s very compassionate and doesn’t like when you are sad. She’ll lay with you until you feel better and she is very loving and playful.” Poor KITANNA was also attacked by another dog in her previous home, she is now scared and can be selective of other dogs. KITANNA would do best as your one and only until she can learn to trust furry friends again. This poor sweet girl cannot catch a break! The stress of the shelter is becoming too much for her to handle. She cries and howls in her kennel. Scared, alone and missing her family. KITANNA loves bath time along with car rides. She knows the commands "sit", "down" and "paw".

Happy 2023!

2022 has brought many great things, a new beginning for our girl as she graduated PHS and is crushing it at Marist with incredible friends and professors, Jack killing it as a freshman with high honor roll at PHS and on the Pitchers mound. It has also continued to bring fear, sadness and illness to our family. There are so many things that we cannot control in our lives. It is all about how we deal with it. I’m so grateful for my family, I’m so grateful for my chosen family. I realized a few are only in it when it benefits them so I have mindfully decided to let them go.

I sat here last night at midnight recovering contently with my rescue baby and received New Years wishes from afar that continued to make me feel loved. I will take that into this new year as change is on the horizon and looking forward to standing on my own two feet physically and metaphorically by taking the help of old friends and new ❤️

Last night as I was sitting on my back porch with a heavy heart thinking about my sweet neighbors, I was able to capture this beginning of this rainbow that appeared over their home❤️

In Genesis 9, God sealed His promise with a rainbow in the sky. In the midst of the devastation from the flood of judgment, there was a beautiful rainbow in the sky symbolizing God's gracious promise! God did not promise we will never experience storms, but He has promised He will be with us during them.

At the end of the New Testament, in John’s prophetic book of Revelation, he describes the glory and power of God on his throne with these words: After these things I looked, and behold, a door opened in heaven . . . and a rainbow was around the throne” (Revelation 4:1,3).

BELLA is all ready to meet her Furever Human! NYC: Bella’s foster moms are moving to a place where dogs are not allowed 🙁 and so she is losing her foster home. We are looking for another foster home or adopter to take in this adorable 4 yr old lab/pit mix.  Bella loves walking, hiking, sleeping and cuddling.
She likes playing with other dogs when properly introduced. This girl has been through an awful lot including a false pregnancy (!!) and she would be devastated to have to go into boarding after being in a foster home for the past seven months. Here is her Petfinder link below:

Here is a throwback to where it started. I have to give a big shout out to my boy. After breaking his hand last summer and not being able to play, he worked his butt off during spring training! He also joined a club team where he knew not a soul. He gave his all at endurance and strength training at Immortal in addition to 2 hour baseball training sessions every saturday night. He pitched his heart out this spring season and even went five innings without giving up any hits! His team closed out their modified season this week with a huge win vs Easchester. Today, in my absence, crushed the ball over 300 feet for his first club team home run for Furry. Jack, to say that I’m proud is an understatement. You give 110% while always thinking of others. You have faced and overcome obstacles and challenges that most people will hopefully never see even as an adult. Keep having fun big boy ⚾️ ♥️ I love you and I truly am looking forward to what is coming next!

at 47 I can honestly say that I love myself. A deep down love and respect for one self is a journey. Let me be very clear it’s not about admiring yourself. Loving yourself is about accepting who you are inside and out. Loving yourself is showing others that there is no such thing as perfect. Loving yourself if about being open honest and vulnerable. Loving yourself is accepting how much you can give to others while also taking care of yourself.

Clearly I haven’t always felt this way. I have fought demons just as we all do because we are human. I told myself I suck at being a wife, a mother, a daughter. I hated my smile I hated my body. I wore clothing two sizes too big. I cut gym class because I was too weak.

Something shifted and I decided to only surround myself with positive people who lift me up, those who mindfully listen and not try to fix who I am. I am truly blessed and grateful I found those people.

So at 47 if you don’t like me that’s ok because you should go and love yourself♥️
