It’s been quite a few years since I trained these girls, but their recall is definitely still awesome!!!!! (These are my baby’s momma’s!)
Lilypad goes to Lowe’s
Lilypad did amazing at Lowe’s today. Of course she loved modeling for pictures, but also heeled like a pro past all the scary Halloween decor and all the shiny Christmas decor
Day 2 for Lilypad
Day 2 is always a repeat of day one. It’s repetition and consistency. For Lilypad, it was also a day to learn to listen while dragging leash and practicing recall off leash (in a fenced in yard). She was coming in hot on that off leash recall. Thank goodness she knows how to put on the brakes!
Welcome Lilypad
Meet Lilypad! She is a one year old Golden Doodle. She is very food motivated but only listens when food is involved. She is here to focus on recall, heel, learning not to jump and to have some fun!
Bodhi
Bodhi got to work around multiple different dogs today. He did not react to them, did not pull on the leash, but his body language did say he was a little scared at times. He pushed through the fear and followed commands like a pro.
Welcome Bodhi
Meet Bodhi, the 18 month old French Bulldog. He is here to help build his confidence. Bodhi gets scared and acts out towards other dogs and people he doesn’t know. He is a sweetheart, but barks, jumps and lunges when frightened. Walking by other dogs without reacting is our main goal. Hopefully after some confidence building he will be able to walk past my dogs with no issues.
Golden Girls
I got to spend a little time with my favorite Golden Moms today. Chance and Dexter definitely take after their moms in both looks and personality. It’s been YEARS since I trained them and they are still so good!
Playtime
My favorite video of the day. Tocho and Luna are clearly hitting it off and Chance is the one left out. Then Chance gets his best friend back as they work together to get Luna by each taking a side of the dog walk over 🤣🐾
Lulu’s first field trip
First field trip and of course it was Tractor Supply. While she was getting spoiled with pets and love she was also learning not to jump. No jumping means more pets! We also worked on heel and place. Our biggest hurdle was Lulu’s fear. It took over 5 minutes just to get her in the door because she was so scared. Once inside she saw people, got treats from me and started to realize field trips aren’t so bad after all.
(She was still really scared of the stack of 5 gallon red buckets for some reason. That was a new one for me)
Lulu Day 2
Casanova Chance strikes again. He met his match energy wise though. Lulu ran circles around him (literally). Of course we still spent time on recall, heel and place too. It can’t always be all work though 🐾
Day one for Lulu
Meet Lulu! She is the sweetest 5 month old Golden Doodle. Today was her first full day of training and she did amazing. She is a timid little girl, but still knows how to be stubborn when she doesn’t want to listen.
She has the typical puppy issues: jumping, leash pulling, trying to eat the leash and then jumping at her owner to nip at her shirt when she’s told no. She digs and doesn’t understand what no means. We started on basic commands today to redirect some of those behaviors and will continue working on them all week.
Nikki agility
It was Nikki’s first time trying agility. Her confidence is going to be soaring. Leading her with treats helped get her over her fear and had her focusing on getting the reward. I’m shocked at how well she did!
