Foraging provides environmental enrichment that rabbits love! It allows them to graze which helps their digestive system function.
Happy molting season, every-bunny! Don’t forget to brush your buns.
We love these silicone grooming mits for our short haired rabbits.
Don’t forget to get those bids in! 💙🐰
Saber’s first binky ❤️ The sign of pure bunny happiness!
I realized that throughout this journey I’ve never formally introduced myself, so I figured now is a good of time as ever.
Hi, my name is Lindz (she/her). I have always had a love for small animals having owned my own rabbits, chinchillas and rats. After hearing of a baby bunny wandering a local beach I quickly stepped in to catch her. With no space at any other rescues, and the guidance of my friend Amy at Honey’s Bunnies Rabbit Rescue, my partner and I started Little Grabbies Small Animal Haven. To date, we have been able to save 23 rabbits since beginning our rabbit rescuing journey in May of 2022.
My goal for Little Grabbies Small Animal Haven is to provide healing and sanctuary for unwanted/ abandoned rabbits, as well as education for owners and the public. In doing this I hope to bring awareness to the ongoing epidemic of abandoned small animals in Nova Scotia.

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their love and support for Saber. Whether you shared her posts, liked, commented or made a donation. We are so grateful for you all ❤️ Saber continues to heal and improve everyday, and we couldn’t be more proud of her.
Saber is doing really well with her assisted feeds. She is able to drink and groom herself but needs help with eating. Currently she is eating small meals every 4 hours with critical care as supplementation. Her ear mite medication should start kicking in soon and we are hoping to see some relief in the coming days. We have also learned that Saber is deaf, and does not respond to any type of noises. This is likely due to having had untreated ear mites for so long. Unfortunately this damage is likely permanent. Tomorrow she goes for her teeth trim which is going to be a huge game changer for her ❤️ We are very proud of this resilient little lady. She’s a fighter.
This little guy was found wandering around a run down/ abandoned building. Luckily the owners of the property knew to call someone to help capture him.
He has made himself quite at home. Had a big snooze on the couch and then walked into the kitchen to wait by the fridge for a snack 🍎
A little Olli update: She is living her best, infection free life thanks to butt baths, a stable diet and orthopedic bedding. Olli is getting stronger and stronger each day. She can clean herself from head to toe and her greatest joys in life include destroying paper towel tubes and zooming around the living room like a rocket.
Last night the vet gave us the green light for Olli to be spayed in the New Year. We are so happy for our sweet little girl ❤️
The little guy who started it all. Meet Gully! At 6 weeks old we were informed of a tiny little bunny who was abandoned on a local beach. When we went to scope out the situation, there he was. Luckily he was easy to catch and had a clear bill of health after a vet visit. Of course we had to keep him, and he is now the ambassador of our rescue. It’s been such an honour watching this little one grow over the past few weeks. We are so happy we could give him a fighting a chance ❤️
