MENTAL STIMULATION FOR PUPPIES AND ADULT DOGS

Is your puppy or adult dog happy?? 🤔

Are you providing the appropriate outlets for mental and physical stimulation that is needed to create a calm happy dog? 🤔

Here's some interesting info on dogs and what you can do to help improve your dogs quality of life.

For dogs sniffing is like reading a newspaper for us and is a highly effective form of mental stimulation for dogs because it engages their most powerful sense—smell.

Here's why it's so beneficial:

1. Natural Instinct: Dogs have an incredible sense of smell, and sniffing is a natural behavior for them. Allowing them to engage in sniffing activities taps into this instinctual behavior, fulfilling a fundamental need.

2. Mental Engagement: When dogs sniff, they are processing a vast amount of olfactory information from their environment. This mental engagement keeps their brains active and stimulated, much like solving a puzzle or learning a new task.

3. Calming Effect: Sniffing has a calming effect on dogs. It can reduce stress and anxiety by allowing them to focus their attention on something other than their worries. This is particularly beneficial for dogs who may be nervous in new environments or situations.

Let's show off your Proud Member CCPTCA Shirt and show support for the Corsos in need. We're spreading awareness of Corsos in rescues and shelters. We're dedicated to addressing this crisis head-on. Our primary mission is to provide breed-specific education and support to Cane Corso owners. All the products in the shop will have a portion of the proceeds get channeled into the Rescue Fund.

Did you know! According to recent statistics, there has been a staggering 50% increase in Cane Corso surrenders to shelters and rescues over the past five years. This is a detriment to any breed. When a Corso gets dumped in a shelter they are typically fearful and often have their "fear" behaviors mistaken for true aggression since typically the staff doesn't have experience working with Cane Corsos unique guardian tendencies these dogs are deemed "aggressive" and put on the euthanasia list within the first 10 days if not sooner.

This also makes uneducated people feel this breed should be banned like the pit bull & bully breeds are in some areas. If this happens this means you won't be able to have your Corso!! This troubling trend threatens the welfare of these magnificent dogs and their future as a breed. We need to be their voice and show support to the Corso Community to make a difference.

We believe that by creating our CCPTCA community that is focused on supporting responsible breeding practices and empowering new owners with the knowledge they need, we can help set them up for successful, lifelong journeys with their beloved Cane Corsos.
