Tired of awful stories about animals suffering? We are too!! Be the change!
From the finder:
‘’My husband was driving down shady grove road (not Lawrence brothers) and saw the orange one in the road. He stopped to get it and heard the gray one crying and it was on the other side of the road. We went back that afternoon to look for a mama cat and to make sure there were no more kittens. We didn't find either. He did tell me they were almost dead when he got them, they were hot and panting and drooling and directly in the sun. He put them in the truck and placed them on a cool water bottle and had the air conditioner blowing and they livened up quickly and fell asleep.
It was in the morning so there was no shade at the time they were found.
No houses nearby just a drive to a field and there was a beer box we checked to make sure there wasn't any kittens in it and it was empty.
They have been very active and vocal and show no signs of sickness or fleas or even dirt considering how he found them.
We have reached out to numerous people with no luck, so I need you to know what a blessing you have been offering this help!’’
We at 9 Lives are very grateful for the finder to do a thorough search for more kittens and mama!! We hope they are all well, wherever they are. We also are very grateful for the dedicated bottlefeeder who will tend to them for the next two weeks.
This story shows once again the importance of affordable spay/neuter surgeries for cats and dogs to avoid similar situations.
Please help to create a fund for free and low cost surgeries of cats and dogs. We calculated we need about $50,000 to help our Lafayette and Oxford community to avoid unwanted litters and suffering.
