Another fun and successful weekend at a dog show,this time with the Hamilton Dog Obedience Club.
Great volunteers,great judges,great company,and the opportunity to watch and learn from many of the top rally dogs in Canada.Lots of fun!
Katie completed her CKC Rally Masters title,and added a couple extra legs just for good measure.
Thanks Sherry Stanley and Beaucaniche Standard Poodles for this smart little gem.

Katie's been a busy girl this season!
Back to play at the Poodle Farm,she earned her CARO Rally Advanced title with 3 pretty good runs and a happy face...
Kudos to Debbie DaCosta and Alan Ratcliffe of the Poodle Farm,who organize and run their trials smoothly and efficiently
with positive,encouraging attitudes.
Great judges,friendly handlers and happy dogs made for a fun,successful day..

Great day in Embro at the GSD club of London-lovely venue,nice weather,friendly volunteers and fellow handlers ,kind,complimentary judge,and not even one voracious mosquito!
Katie completed her CKC Rally Excellent title and earned her first leg towards her Masters title too!

Katie's first venture into CARO rally ended successfully in the completion of her first title! Kind of neat to compete with a poodle at The Poodle Farm-with poodle paraphernalia everywhere you look!
Great judges offered positive and constructive feedback and encouraged a good experience.Thanks Deb Dacosta,Melody Murray,and Alan for all you hard work and organisational talents.
Katie did well and handler showed improvement! 😆Both had a good time.

What a beautiful weekend for an outdoor show! Thank you to the Sydenham Valley Dog Training Club ,very hard working volunteers,and judges for all their efforts to pull off a fun,successful event (special mention to the benevolence of Mother Nature lol).Much gratitude to Jean Fisher,Dell Lunn and fellow handlers for their training tips and positive,encouraging attitudes. Katie earned her Pre-Novice obedience title over the 2 days,as well as completing the last leg of her CKC Rally Obedience title,with a third perfect score of 100.Good girl,KT!
Topmost appreciation to the breeder Sherry Stanley ,for trusting me with this happy,smart,loving little poodle.

Happy and grateful Katie and I had the opportunity to earn 2 legs in CKC Rally Intermediate this weekend at the Brantford trials ,successfully completing her title.It turned out to be a beautiful day for a drive - Katie was delighted to check out the venue and still managed to pull off a couple of nice runs with scores of 98 and 99.

Thanks to the show giving club and volunteers,and to judge Mary Monteith ,who was so positive and encouraging in all her remarks.

Much appreciation to The Poodle Farm for hosting this event,and Debby Dacosta and Alan Ratcliffe for doing such an exceptional job organizing and coordinating everything to keep things running successfully for all participants!

She did it! Little Miss Katie has earned her very first CKC Rally title,completing her Novice title this weekend with a perfect score and starting Intermediate with another 100.Very impressed with how my 'pandemic puppy' handled all the new experiences of the show scene-crowded aisle,people and dogs rushing by,crating,noise,etc...Katie handled it all with her usual good-natured curiosity and cheerfulness.
Big thanks to the Sarnia Kennel Club and all the wonderful volunteers,judges,and fellow exhibitors for making it an efficient,successful,and fun weekend.

It's official! Katie has successfully completed all currently available AKC virtual Rally and Obedience classes with very respectable scores and many complimentary remarks by the judges.My happy,silly,clever little black girl is on her way! Many good memories opened up with the mail today-Sophie's 2019 Top Obedience Dog awards finally arrived~happy hours spent training,driving to trials,meeting friends and competitors,laughter and angst, the joys of working and playing with a great partner...it was a fun year...Sophie pictured today in her 'old lady' summertime trim..

Katie's getting lots of mail these days! Both her AKC Virtual Rally Intermediate and Advanced title certificates arrived today! So grateful to AKC,Delvyn Del Lunn and Jean Fisher for giving us the motivation to keep training and the opportunity to earn fun new titles while trials on are on hold.(ribbon just for fun 😅)

Well it finally showed up!! Sophie's CDX certificate finally arrived from the CKC,a year and a half after it was earned...and they only forgot to add her RM 😆...Better late than never!

She did it!Katie's first 'obedience' title is official! Since COVID has removed opportunities to attend trials in this area,the facility and club we train with have generously given their space and time to tape course entries for the AKC Virtual Rally Obedience program.She has quickly earned her RN ,is soon expecting confirmation of her RI,and hope to soon hear results of RA entries as well as AKC Beginner Obedience.Thanks to Sydenham Valley Dog training club,Goldunn Training Center,and VERY hard working members/instructors Del Lunn and Jean Fisher. It's a wrap! Hosts Del and Bev Lunn of Goldunn Dog Training and The Sydenham Valley Dog Training Club did a wonderful job hosting their first Rally National fun match for members and students on Sunday,making sure everyone had a good time while adhering to current Covid-19 restrictions and keeping us all safe.This was Katie's first 'trial' and she found the whole experience very exciting and had a marvelous time! It was so nice to enjoy a dog event again,and watch all the teams in the ring.Thanks to the organizers,volunteers,and judge for all the hard work !

Graduation Day ! Katie and I successfully completed our 8 weeks Beginner's class at Goldunn Training centre .We're learning lots about working together while coping with interesting distractions ,masks ,and friendly strangers..And so much more to learn!
