Well, right back to it! 2025 is the first time I’m starting the year as a full time business owner, and that means a ton of planning is in order. My main focus is on being proactive instead of reactive, and after five years in business I have a good idea of both what I need and want to accomplish to stay afloat and creatively motivated.
To give you a peek behind the curtain, here’s what’s on my mind this winter:
🌸The Philadelphia Flower Show! I’ll be returning in March as a vendor for my third year, but this time for all ten days and with a spot in the main marketplace. This is the biggest show I’ve ever done and I need to make a ton of inventory and want to finesse my booth display to be a little more professional, so this is what will keep me the most busy over the next two months!
💜Valentines Day! As someone in the flower biz it’s hard to ignore the biggest flower holiday of the year, so I’ll be offering a few things, including a workshop or two, a bouquet preorder, and maybe some items on my website. Stay tuned for more details soon!
🌻Wholesale catalog and bouquet preservation offerings! I want to do more direct to store sales and bouquet preservations for this year, and need to make some documentation for these so that ordering is more streamlined.
💐Workshops! I love to teach, and want to do more workshops this year in new venues, but this requires early early planning! Hope to do more in Hampton Roads this year too.
🌿The garden gets the backburner these days, but I really can’t have a business without my flowers! I keep planting, maintaining, and planning throughout the winter so that I can have a year full of amazing flowers to press, dry, and enjoy.
Those are the main things for now, are you exhausted because I am! What are you working on this winter?
