It’s not quite fall yet, but if you ask me wreaths are always in season! I made these for two wonderful former coworkers this week.
I love making wreaths but I hate transporting them to markets so I don’t make a ton of them. If you ever want a stunner for your front door let me know!

I accidentally left this mini dried bouquet at my sister’s house and it ended up looking so cute in this corner in her bathroom! I just love a tiny bouquet, they add a touch of charm anywhere you put them!

Cheers y’all! It’s the beginning of a new era where my attention is solely focused on So Many Flowers.
After three years working part time and then full time (and part time again the past few months) my time with is officially over. I’m both sad to be leaving and excited for what’s next, and will forever be the biggest fan of public gardens!
Thanks for all the support that has enabled to get me to this point, and please get in contact if you want to work together, because I now have a lot more flexibility in my schedule!

June had some high highs and some low lows, and overall I’m ready to close that door and move right on to July.
On the plus side, I got to reconnect with friends and coworkers this month, got a ton of inventory made and flowers dried/pressed from the garden, and traveled to Nashville and Boston.
On the not so plus side, all of my markets this month were pretty disappointing, which is never anyone’s fault but still feels not great after all the anticipation leading up to it.
I’m taking it easy on the travel/market front the next few weeks and trying to prepare for the craziness of fall, and also hoping to do lots of beaching. Some new things/announcements coming soon!

So many cute hand soldered pressed flower frames in the works for this week! The theme for the market is summer camp, and I was absolutely obsessed with going to camp as a kid. Besides archery and canoeing I remember lots of mediocre art projects, including some flower and leaf pressing. Happy to report that I’ve gotten much better at it since then! Looking forward to meeting lots of new friends in Nashville this weekend!

It’s flower pressing crunch time! All the spring flowers that I love using most (like this larkspur!) are blooming right now, and won’t be back until next spring. So I have to press all that I can to get a good stock built up that I can use the rest of the year.
While it’s easy for me to get bunches of dried flowers from other farms if I don’t have enough of my own, it’s extremely hard to find a good variety of pressed flowers for sale so I really have to press everything myself.
I may put together some envelopes of pressed flowers for sale since my workshop students are always asking for them, let me know if that’s something that you are interested in!

Hitting the road for some fun markets this summer! Especially excited to do a few events when I’m back in Wisconsin for a few weeks. I don’t anticipate adding anything else but you never know…
I’m going to be putting more focus on building the wholesale and website sales parts of my business in the coming months, so stay tuned for updates on that!

I spend a lot of time with little pieces of glass these days, and honestly I find it almost as engrossing as gardening. There’s so much history, color theory, and technique in stained glass, which makes it more than just a simple craft, and that makes it all the more intriguing to me! Incorporating flowers and glass can be tricky at times, but keeping flowers central to my work is very important to me. People seem to love these glass chains, so I’ll continue to crank them out!

Year 2 of the Flower Show is a wrap! Thanks to everyone who came out, I had such a fun time meeting people and being back in the Markers Market. Next year I hope to do the full ten days!
No more events until April (phew!), just lots of gardening and spring cleaning to catch up on, but I do have some big news that I’ve been sitting on that I’ll share soon!

February recap! Such a fun month! Lots of time with my favorite people in beautiful places, Valentines Day, and the return of daffodils.
March is always one of my least favorite months (mud and taxes, yuck), but I’ll stay optimistic for now.

Come visit me at the Philadelphia Flower Show March 8-10 (maybe bring me another pretzel while you’re at it?)!
I’ll be in the Makers Market on the second weekend of the show this year with all the pressed flower art, wreaths, bouquets, and cloches my lil fingers can make before then! Hope to see some friends and can’t wait to meet more fellow dried flower lovers!

Leaving 2023 feeling grateful and looking forward to next year. This year was a slow transition as I took my business focus from fresh flowers to dried flowers, and I’ve come out the other side with a new vision and purpose. I went to many less markets but almost doubled my sales from 2022, pursued several new sales avenues, and had a lot of fun learning new skills (hello stained glass, my new favorite thing!). I also spent way too many nights before markets stressing myself out while trying to make last minute product, had to cancel several workshops due to not enough sign ups, and often felt (unreasonably) disappointed in myself for not being as productive as I could have been.
Here’s to being kinder to myself, making more art, and more success in 2024!

Shirley poppy and hydrangea all snuggled up in a coaster.
Just a few more days of this holiday craziness! Catch me this weekend at Holiday Market on Saturday and Sunday and on Sunday! Plus restocking on Friday and on Monday. Yep, I’m gonna deserve a big long nap after all this.

The next month is gonna be so funnn (and a little crazy). Five markets, one wreath workshop, and a pop-up shop residency. Plus, I’ll open my online shop for orders for about two weeks!

On another note, please support small business this holiday season (even if it’s not me)! I’ve seen way too many posts about small businesses struggling recently and it makes me so sad. Yes, it might be a little more expensive and you might have to plan a little further ahead than a last minute Amazon order, but I guarantee it means a lot to every single person you buy from.

Hi it’s me, here to tell you how to get your hands on some So Many Flowers this month!

🎊 Mark my words, I will be setting up my store on my website this month for some holiday ordering fun. And best of all, I plan to keep it open post-holidays so that I can accept orders year round!
🌻 Baby’s first holiday pop-up shop! I’ll be participating in Holiday Market, open November 25-December 24 in Richmond.
🛍️Doing my best to keep stocked, things keep moving so quickly! I’ll be doing a big ornament and orange garland drop there later in the month.
🎁 Just one market this month as I get everything else prepped for the holidays, Small Business Saturday market on 11/25

Back to enjoying my vacation now, later!

I can’t decide if it’s the best or worst time to go on vacation, the holiday rush is rapidly approaching but I could definitely use a break before I dive into it! The flowers are cut and hung to dry (hoping things are still blooming when I get back), the out of office email is up, and my bags are (almost) packed. See y’all in November!

I decided that working hard in August was *not* the vibe this year, so I gallivanted off to Wisconsin for two weeks.
I did a market yesterday so I haven’t kept it entirely chill, but otherwise fun, ice cream, and porch sits have definitely been the priority recently. I’ll be back on my way to Virginia tomorrow, where my mess of a garden awaits me!
