I had a great weekend in Durham at ! Such a fun event (there were parades and a really interesting variety of music!) and we lucked out with amazing weather.
I set up a make your own suncatcher station for the first time and enjoyed assembling cute glass pieces for customers. Hope to be back next year!
On to getting ready for Haddonfield Festival next weekend (my first NJ show!).

A new intro post for 2025 just to remind you who’s behind the flowers and what we do around here!

Come see me (and sweat with me!) this summer. I didn’t really intend to do a big summer market tour, but that’s just how things worked out, and I’m very excited to revisit a favorite market (Winterthur), a city I love (Durham), and go somewhere new (Haddonfield).
I’ll also be debuting a new DIY station or two, which I’ll tell you more about soon!!
Then I’ll be away from Virginia almost all of August for my annual trip back to Wisconsin and a wedding in Colorado.

Here are some of the pressed flowers I reach for first when putting together a design. Which also means I run out of them fastest!
Larkspur and nigella I grow myself, hydrangea I also grow myself but will also buy in different varieties, and astrantia is a perennial that I haven’t tried growing yet and pick up at the wholesaler when it’s available.

You never know what opportunities will come along when you have a small business, and I found myself on the National Mall last Sunday, handing out 500 2x2” stamp and pressed flower ornaments at an event with attendees from around the world.
It was a very long week of work to make them all, but good practice in wholesale production for myself. It’s also pretty cool that my little works of art will now live on maybe every continent except Antarctica. Thanks to for the opportunity!

It’s spring gifting season and I’m working on a little spring shop update for later next week. Pressed flowers in glass featuring spring blooms like dogwood and hellebores, dried flower cloches, and a few other cute things are brewing. Perfect for Mother’s Day, spring birthdays, graduations or just a lil gift for yourself. I’ll let you know when things are live, so keep an eye out!

I started a tradition last year of making an arrangement in my favorite vase to bring for decoration at markets. It adds pizazz to my table and is a great way to practice my arranging skills.
I also love showcasing what is in season as it always features stems from around my garden! Today that’s tulips, daffodils, cerinthe, Icelandic poppies, a few anemones and this gorgeous dogwood from .
