Well, right back to it! 2025 is the first time I’m starting the year as a full time business owner, and that means a ton of planning is in order. My main focus is on being proactive instead of reactive, and after five years in business I have a good idea of both what I need and want to accomplish to stay afloat and creatively motivated.

To give you a peek behind the curtain, here’s what’s on my mind this winter:
🌸The Philadelphia Flower Show! I’ll be returning in March as a vendor for my third year, but this time for all ten days and with a spot in the main marketplace. This is the biggest show I’ve ever done and I need to make a ton of inventory and want to finesse my booth display to be a little more professional, so this is what will keep me the most busy over the next two months!
💜Valentines Day! As someone in the flower biz it’s hard to ignore the biggest flower holiday of the year, so I’ll be offering a few things, including a workshop or two, a bouquet preorder, and maybe some items on my website. Stay tuned for more details soon!
🌻Wholesale catalog and bouquet preservation offerings! I want to do more direct to store sales and bouquet preservations for this year, and need to make some documentation for these so that ordering is more streamlined.
💐Workshops! I love to teach, and want to do more workshops this year in new venues, but this requires early early planning! Hope to do more in Hampton Roads this year too.
🌿The garden gets the backburner these days, but I really can’t have a business without my flowers! I keep planting, maintaining, and planning throughout the winter so that I can have a year full of amazing flowers to press, dry, and enjoy.

Those are the main things for now, are you exhausted because I am! What are you working on this winter?

Bye 2024 market season! It was honestly a hard year for me at markets and nothing went quite as expected, but I learned a lot and have some ideas on how to do better in 2025.
Every single purchase this year meant a lot, so thank you!!!

September came and went so quickly! The end of summer always bums me out, but between my new baby cat and the joy I find in making wreaths and flower pumpkins season I’m settling into fall just fine this year.

Here’s where to find me this fall! Spending more time in NoVA than anticipated but I’m not mad about it.

A few notes:
🌻I’ll also be participating in the Nightmare on 15th St Market from Sept 21-29! I’ll be dropping off some fallish items there, so make sure to go check it out Richmond friends!
🌻I get lots of questions about my online store, and I’m simply not quite there yet! However, I’m planning to get things together by November to do a holiday shop update. More details to come!

An afternoon composing glass panels is one of my favorite ways to spend a day! These will get turned into candleholder boxes. I’ve been meaning to make another batch since spring but they’re a lot of work to put together! Stay tuned for the final result.

It’s not quite fall yet, but if you ask me wreaths are always in season! I made these for two wonderful former coworkers this week.
I love making wreaths but I hate transporting them to markets so I don’t make a ton of them. If you ever want a stunner for your front door let me know!
