Specimen highlight.

Chindongo saulosi, also known as the Saulosi Cichlid, is a stunning fish species native to Lake Malawi's Taiwan Reef. Males boast vibrant blue colors with black vertical bars, while females display a deep yellow shade without spots ¹ ².

*Key Characteristics*
- _Size:_ Reaches 3-4 inches in length, categorizing them as dwarf mbuna ²
- _Lifespan:_ Approximately 6-10 years in captivity ²
- _Appearance:_ Elongated body shape, pharyngeal teeth, and one nostril on each side

*Behavior and Breeding*
- Males are territorial and aggressive, while females are friendly and calm ²
- Best kept in large groups with one dominant male and multiple females ²
- Breeding involves maternal mouthbrooding, with females holding eggs in their mouth for 13-18 days ²
