At LRRoF, we work hard to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Labrador Retrievers across Florida.
Your donation helps us provide care for Labradors in need throughout Florida, including medical treatments and life-saving surgeries to help ensure they find loving homes.

This GivingTuesday, your gift goes even further—thanks to a generous supporter, Lynn Jeffrey, all donations will be matched up to $10,000!

Lynn's dog Chewie was adopted from LRRoF as a puppy in July, 2018. Chewie's mom Shiloh was rescued by LRRoF just before she whelped 11 pups in foster care. Lynn had just lost her yellow Labrador, Bailey; leaving her other Labrador Kona very sad and depressed being all alone. Then she saw Shiloh’s pups, the solution was clear and she adopted Chewie! This is the 5th year Lynn has provided matching funds for our GivingTuesday campaigns.

Together, we’re aiming to raise $50,000 to give Labs the second chance they deserve.
Thank you for your support. Every donation makes a difference for a Labrador in need.

Having available funds for emergencies is crucial - that point hit close to home this morning. Our long time foster, Susan, called and said she was on her way to the Veterinary Emergency Group with her foster Otis. From the description of the symptoms - it sounded like bloat - so time was of the essence. Within minutes of arriving, the diagnosis of bloat was confirmed and we were in a surgical emergency situation. Otis is currently in recovery, he will remain at the clinic overnight for observation. Otis's emergency surgery is $7-9000 ,we were prepared because of our amazing supporters. *we will provide Otis updates!

This , the first $10,000 in donations will be matched by generous supporter & adopter Lynn Jeffery. Please help us stay prepared! Visit https://lrrof.org/giving-tuesday/ or click the link below to have your dollars doubled.

Meet SCOTT

Don’t let my long legs and seemingly stoic nature fool you, I’m still very much a young boy (my rescuers think I’m just 10 months old). Once I feel safe and get to know my humans, my playful puppy side definitely comes out.

I was turned into the shelter because “the landlord didn’t allow big dogs.” But I suspect that my previous owners didn’t have much time for me either, because it seems like no one taught me basic skills (like how to sit) or that play mouthing and jumping isn’t ok. My foster family is working on that and I’m learning so fast! I learned how to sit in just one day! And I’m starting to be great at minding my manners and listening like the good boy that I am.

I’m fully potty trained, good on a leash and am quite good when left alone in my safe space, a small gated room for now. That means virtually no whining or barking from me! At my foster home, I love playing and roughhousing with one of the resident doggies, a Lab girl who is young and active like me. And I quickly learned to let the 10-year-old golden girl in the house have her space.

I think I’d be great for a family with older kids or an adult just looking for a loyal companion and loving playmate. I want to keep learning. If you’ll teach me new skills and toss a ball or frisbee regularly, we’ll get along great! Scott is being fostered in Boynton Beach, if interested reach out to your adoption counselor, or apply at lrrof.org.

Throw those paws in the air! Rubicks has his very own family! A big congratulations to the Pippins Family; they and Rubick hit the rescue dog jackpot. We are so thankful we could play a part in saving Rubicks life after he was stuck by the car - we are also thankful for amazing Foster Mom, Jen. Jen nursed Rubicks back to health post orthopedic surgery and loved and cared for him each day. Fostering saves lives. Congrats all around.

Bestest foster boy Otis was cleared today by Dr Lackey at Gardens Animal Hospital. When Otis’s foster Mom Susan noticed something was ‘off’ with Otis, she took him to see Dr. Lackey. A sonogram and xray revealed poor Otis had an enlarged spleen - huge actually! Otis now sans spleen is doing great! Fostering really does save lives !

Meet Miss Piper! Piper is 3.5 yo and came from a backyard breeder, she gave birth to 6 beautiful puppies while in rescue. The pups all went to their homes in September. Now that she is spayed, it is Pipers turn for a happy ever after! Turns out Piper absolutely loves to swim!!! While not a requirement, a pool would be a plus! Piper likes playing with other dogs, but also enjoys her down time. Miss Piper is a snuggler who loves being with her people. Piper currently goes to work with her foster. If interested, reach out to your counselor or apply at lrrof.org.
