It’s a swimming day.
Tauvey is loving the water now. She is fetching sticks and bringing them right back, ready for another thousand throws. 😂 her recall is amazing and at times off the lead work with lots of trust from Dylan.

She’s getting spoilt and deserves every second.

Tauvey Update - Water Bite Decoy Work

Tauvey the "land shark" has grown incredibly confident in the water and Dylan is continuing to integrate her commands and previous training into her new environments

An update from Dylan - 16th October 2022

The first court appearance is now scheduled for November. It's not going to be easy but Dylan will do everything he can to continue to fight for GP Tauvey, GP Solo and PADD Aura

Tauvey has made great progress but this is still early stages.

Tauvey Update - 16th October 2022

Kahla has been working with Tauvey, especially on her obedience, exiting the truck and also helping Tauvey become familiar with new environments

Whilst Tauvey was trained to solely obey Dylan, it's so good to see that she is also listening to Kahla and learning to also trust her and form a strong bond

At home Tauvey and Kahla are loving their cuddles together too, it's so good to see these guys together

When Tauvey and Dylan aren't out on their daily adventures, you can often find them cuddling and playing together in the back yard

Tauvey loves her cuddles and kisses and is becoming even more affectionate as their bond becomes stronger. She also loves sunbaking under the warm sun and getting all the belly rubs she can get

Tauvey Update - 14th of October 2022

You can take the dog out of the fight but you can't take the fight out of the dog 🥊

Today Tauvey showcased that she still has the drive in her to make her presence known. When at work, Tauvey was known by her fierce bark, strength and eagerness to complete training such as bite work.

But luckily she can also switch off to a large extent when she is settled at home and wanting cuddles from Dylan, but don't tell her we let you in on that secret 😉

I definitely wouldn't want to mess with the wrong side of this gorgeous girl, she is getting stronger and her loyalty to protecting those she loves is showing everyday

Tauvey Update - 13th of October 2022

Today Tauvey went to the beach for the first time 🌊⛱️

Whilst she wasn't too keen on the waves or the salt water, she enjoyed the sand and all the new smells and sounds

It's amazing to see how well Tauvey is taking on all of the new environments and her personality is starting to shine again as she becomes more relaxed and spends more time with Dylan

GP Tauvey loves a good game of fetch as you can tell by the action shot below

Her favourite reward would have to be her Kong but she also doesn't mind chasing after a ball

Dylan is working with Tauvey every day on skills such as her recall and a good game of fetch assists with this training and provides lots of fun and exercise. It also helps to introduce Tauvey to new environments and her confidence around the water is building which is amazing to see

Update from Dylan

Hey everyone,

GP Tauvey and I have been getting out and about as we have commenced her rehabilitation.

Unfortunately her teeth are in very poor condition which means that she cannot bite properly. However, the good news is that her stress has reduced since being returned to my care.

As you can see in previous posts, I have introduced Tauvey to low stress environments such as vacant parks and water in order to help her de-stress and rebuild our bond.

There is an upcoming conciliation meeting between myself and SERCO and if it is not successful, then unfortunately court is the next option.

Court fees may total up to $50,000 but this is a small price to pay in order to represent GP Tauvey, GP Solo and PADD Aura.

We will continue to keep you all updated and would like to say thankyou again for all of your support.

Tauvey Update - 8th of October 2022

Today Tauvey went for her first swim. This is a big achievement for her as she was not required to have this skill for work

As you can see, this adventure also helped Tauvey to build her bond with Dylan as she needed to trust him to look after her in the water and to slowly introduce her to the new surroundings

The chew toy reward and game of tug was totally worth it for this good girl and she is now resting at home with a big bone reward

We are all very proud of Tauvey, Dylan and Kahla and can't wait to get more updates

Dylan working with Tauvey to help re condition her back to how she was before being stuck in the SERO Kennels for 7 months.

As you can see, they have a long way to go in terms of building muscle and her overall health but Tauvey is remembering her key skills that she would use operationally, including entering and exciting the truck.

GP Solo - yet to be returned to Dylan

Solo is a German Shephard and an ex operational Queensland Police Dog who was re-teaming with Dylan to take over from GP Tauvey when she eventually retired.

Solo is an extremely intelligent, driven and loyal dog who loved to work every day.

Unfortunately he has now been sitting in the the SERCO Kennels for over seven months as he was taken just like GP Tauvey and PADD Aura after Dylan requested the footage of Tauvey's injury.

Solo bonded closely with Dylan whilst kenneled at his home after work and enjoyed cooling off in summer by chasing the garden hose and loved his daily grooming where just like any German Shephard, he would shed fur all over the place.

Dylan has requested that GP Solo be returned to his care so that he can be re conditioned to the standards he was at before being taken away.

PADD Aura - yet to be returned to Dylan

Aura is a gorgeous Kelpie x Labrador who was an ex-Army EOD Detection Dog.

She came into Dylan's care as his third dog and was imprinted on Suboxone, To***co and Electronics.

Aura loved her cuddles from Dylan and was always eager to learn new skills and to work. Her gorgeous green eyes and floppy ears won many hearts, especially Dylan's and she would often try to engage in conversation as she was very vocal and cheeky.

Sadly, Aura was taken from Dylan by the General Manager and Dog Squad Supervisor for no reason.

She has now been given to another staff member with no consultation with Dylan. If you know of her where abouts, please send a message through. We would love to have her reunited with Dylan as she is part of the family and would be eager to get back to work.

On the 5th of October 2022 GP Tauvey was returned to Dylan's care. The journey of rehabilitation and healing has just begun.

7 months they were separated for but as you can see their bond is still just as strong as it was before.
