A home for Kane? ❤ Please read the requirements properly before contacting us 🙏

Kane is a 3 year old supposedly pure Boerboel however we suspect he has Great Dane in him. He is the size of a GD and has many of the mannerisms. He is a big boy, so someone with capacity and knowledge for a giant breed is wanted.

He is a well behaved lovable boy who prefers women over men, but will warm up to a man. He is very well trained, walks on a leash, behaves in a car and loves kisses.

We want a home with a dog around his age who loves to play, he played for hours yesterday with our other foster Baz. NO cats! He is fine with children but older ones would be better as with his size he can knock small ones down.

Unlike puppies (who can often develop littermate syndrome), it is recommended & encouraged to adopt kittens in pairs. Besides all the logical reasons to have two kittens, it’s far more entertaining and you get the added benefit of saving TWO lives!!

Choosing to adopt the right breed for your lifestyle is crucial to a happy dog and good home life ❤

We'll be chatting about the various characteristics of different dog breeds and why it's important to choose ones suitable to you. It helps prevent rehoming and an unhappy situation

The Siberian Husky is a breed we actively encourage people to only adopt. These dogs are designed for snow and our hot climate is not fair on them. We encourage you to have a pool or a plastic pool for them. Do not shave your husky as they have an under coat to help regulate their temperature.

This sociable dog enjoys being a part of a human "pack". They are lovable companions who need plenty of exercise. They do not do well as only dogs and need to be with other dogs and their humans. If not exercised and mentally stimulated enough they will become bored and start digging. Highly intelligent with strong prey instincts so they should be socialized with cats from a young age.

Their lifespan is 12 to 15 years and they eat less than other dogs their size. They require weekly grooming and they shed. Hate mess? Husky is not for you.

We sadly often see Huskies up for adoption at many different welfares. We encourage you to contact them to adopt. Husky Rescue South Africa does some great work and could help with placing the right Husky in your care.
