CRC Family Farm At the early age of 4, Robert Clark knew he loved all animals. And animals loved him. Patience with animals is one of Robert's strong suits.

By the age of 14, Robert adopted and trained his first mustang, drawing the attention of the Fort Worth Star Telegram and even being recognized on Channel 8 news. Through the years, Robert has trained numerous mustangs and domestic horses and competed in the arena. He has also been very successful in training and competing in the Australian Shepard community. He has a special gift and believes he

must use this gift to God's glory. Robert's dream is to help others develop a stronger relationship with their horses, so they may enjoy their animal for many years. Robert is an approved TIP (Trainer Incentive Program) trainer through the Mustang Heritage Foundation.

On November 28, 2023 I had an accident with a horse . I suffered a fractured L3 vertebra and 8 broken ribs. It's been a very long recovery. I am not yet 100% but today was a big victory. This is the 1st time to get back on a horse since the accident. It was a short ride and I definitely have a lot to work on but I now know that it won't be long before I am my old self.

Thank you to everyone for the calls, texts, messages, but especially the prayers for Robert Clark. We got home about 3:30 this afternoon. For those who don’t know, Robert was thrown from a horse he’s training on late Tuesday afternoon. We ended up at Baylor McKinney. He has 5 broken ribs in front, 3 broken ribs lower back, & a broken back (L3 vertebrae). Could have been much worse. We are thankful it wasn’t. Will be a long recovery, but he will be fine. We appreciate everyone; your friendship means so much. Thank you all.

Several have asked to see the video of Robert & Ryder’s freestyle performance. Couple small glitches, but was great overall & landed them 1st place! Thanks to Amy Lester Dickerson for the great video. Thanks again to everyone who helped set up all the props & take everything down. Couldn’t have done it without you. What an awesome weekend we’ve had at the Texas TIP Challenge!!! Met lots of great people & a wonderful experience for our first challenge.

Robert Clark & Ryder placed 1st in the freestyle (his own routine set to the song “Born to be Wild”) & 4th place overall. He received lots of great prizes including $$$. Robert has worked so hard & Ryder has such an easy temperament that even this old gal is going to ride him! I am so proud of them both. Thank you to all our friends & family who came such s lobg way to watch & help set up our props. We couldn’t have b done it without you.

For those who don’t know, Ryder was adopted through the Bureau of Land Management who rescues thousands of wild mustangs each year. Robert had about 110 days to break him & train him for this competition. He was completely wild when we got him. He was going to compete next weekend at the mustang show in Ft.Worth. However, all horses have to be auctioned at the end of the show & we just can’t part with Ryder. He has found his forever home. We ❤️ you Ryder!

So for the last 2 months I’ve been fortunate enough to help this young lady named Destiny with her horse. We have been working on her basic horsemanship skills. We have also been preparing her filly ( Ruby ) to be a saddle horse.

In the beginning I would have never suggested that the 1st ride on this 2 year old filly be made by Destiny.

I have been fortunate to be allowed to help a really good minded horse and a little girl that is willing to make the effort to learn. She earned the right to be the 1st one up on her horse . I am proud of of Destiny and Ruby. So honored to be allowed to help . I hope she remembers this day for a long time.
Thank you to her mother Ashley Ingoldsby and her grandmother Sharyn Kilmer for allowing me to help.

Well I got the riders up call tonight so this just happened. Easy Ryder is a mere 32 days from the wild. The last time I stepped on an unbroken mustang was 19 years ago in 2004. This was a huge moment for both of us. I am not nearly as strong , agile or as confident as I was then so I was a little nervous but overcome with joy . Ryder gave me a moment that I won’t soon forget. I sure do like this guy a lot.

Day 5 Ryder is beginning to really bind with Robert.

Ryder is from Little Colorado, Wyoming. So far, she doesn’t seem to spook very bad. A plus!
