Rubicon Dog represents a new product category for dogs who are transported in passenger vehicles. We put our kids in child car seats, with a fabric covered plastic adapter for their smaller bodies and a harness to protect them in case of an accident, so Rubicon Dog is adapting the same principles for our dogs. We are proud to design and manufacture our products in the United States, using the late
st CAD and plastic rotomolding technologies on the market. Our dogs are active, we take them everywhere we go, we let them play in the wet grass and dirt and water, then we put them back in our cars equipped with a Rubicon Dog and connect their dog car harness directly to the vehicle's seat belt. Our dogs are safer, our cars are cleaner, and we're happier to be able to bring them along on all our adventures!

Tips and tricks for longer trips.
After 11 days and 2,150 miles traveling with two 5-year old Labrador Retrievers, here are a few ideas:
1. Don’t feed or feed very lightly in the morning.
2. Limit water intake so you can stretch potty breaks to 3 hours or so (less for younger dogs)
3. Try to offer road snacks that don’t make the dogs thirsty or make a mess in the car - baby carrots are great for that!
4. Plan your stops so you don’t have to pull off on the side of a busy road or highway.
5. Use a Rubicon Dog car seat so you have your dogs 100% in control getting in or out of your vehicle - leash doesn’t come off until they’re connected to the seatbelt and leash is on before they’re ever released from the seatbelt!

Tooling is fantastic and the test samples are turning out really, really great! Don’t mind the plain white test pieces, manufacturing starts next week with two colors: Desert Sandstone and Grey Granite. The journey to get to this point was not easy but so worth it!
