Prime K9 revamped

Hi Prime K9 family,

First of all I want to thank everyone for the support of my business! Seeing it flourish in these last few years has been amazing, my vision is and has always been helping owners live a fulfilled life with their dogs through training.

I am forever thinking of new ways to improve the business so I’ve decided to make a few changes to Prime K9. I believe I have found the best way to run it for both you, your pooches and myself, so we can all get the best experience out of my services.

The change will start July 17, 2023.
22/08–29/08 I will be away on a business trip and back up and running on August 30, 2023.

I’m really looking forward to the new structure of Prime K9 and if you have any questions feel free to reach out!

As a little thank you, the first two dogs that book in their first 6 pack walks, will get one pack walk free!!

Meet ✨ Bowie ✨

Sorry for the extremely late welcome Bowie 🥲

Bowie is a tiny adorable labradoodle
Bowie joins us each week for a pack walk and in true Labrador style always finds the muddiest of puddles. Bowies favourite thing to do is pounce through the grass and make the big dogs chase her.

Bowie and her mum are also working through some training at home focusing around house reactivity, crate training and overall building a great bond together.

Our foster pup is officially up for adoption 🎉♥️

Pepsi is an awesome pup and is showing heaps of potential! She is high energy, high food and chase drive. Seeking an adult home with experienced, active carers able to dedicate plenty of time for her.

She is a very confident young puppy who has lot’s of potential to be an adventure buddy or sport dog. Pepsi loves to use her brain and is not a couch potato!

She loves to chase, we use the flirt pole to fulfil this need. It prevents her from wanting or needing to chase birds etc.
She is suited to sport dog activities eg hiking, running, agility, obedience, scent work, flygility, dry sledding - any sport she would be great at (low impact only until fully grown).

She is crate trained, toilet trained, knows sit, down and nose touch. Leash training and recall is under way and she’s acing it, confidence building with new sounds and socialising with the world is very successful. She needs someone who is committed to continue this training. Sleeps inside, warm and cosy.

Pepsi is currently being fostered with a local trainer at Prime K9. If Pepsi stays locally then her new home will be offered full support with present and future training needs. If Pepsi is relocated out of town, Prime K9 is more than happy to support on line to make sure Pepsi is set up for a bright future.

Adoption Donation $400 to go partway towards spay (when older), vaccinations, chip, council registration. Flea treated. Worming up to date.

We have an adoption process and arrange meetings once this has been successfully completed.
We do home out of the district and can arrange property visits. We do not send the dogs away on transporters.
Stock fenced properties require a fully secure/safe containment area for no one is at home.

Dog/s of the month ✨sass and diva✨

You’ve probably seen these two around for quite a while now !! Coming up 2 years since these two pocket rockets joined. They’ve come from barking at dogs that walked past, pulling at the end of the leash, no ears which meant no freedom off the leash. They can now confidently and comfortably co exist with other dogs in pack walks not pestering them and wanting to play just happily walking with them. They now get to have full freedom off the leash to explore. Super happy with how far these two have come and we love having them as part of the PRIMEK9 community.

Really for life 2023

Massive thanks to Pinnacle Performance for coming together and creating a day to remember 🎉
South Canterbury Cancer Society & Relay For Life

Thanks to everyone who came down and supported us especially the pinnacle performance family you guys were awesome. Hugh has such a big support team and family and it’s so nice to see. Running a business isn’t easy but when you see all the supporters behind you it definitely makes it more enjoyable 🎉

Thanks to Nicola, Mum, dad and Bradley for being my support team. Thanks Dad and Bradley for pushing me through the last 12 laps was pretty stocked to finish the last 12 with you guys collecting that last 142nd bead.

2 weeks off fundraising dog walks and raffles really payed off in just over 2 weeks we managed to raise approximately $2500 !!!
As a community we raised approximately $79,000!!

12hrs 142laps approximately 52kms pretty bloody proud 🎉

Massive shout out to Mum you blew us all away with you outstanding effort 🥰

We may all be in a bit of pain after them 12hrs but it’s nothing compared to the cancer fighters. Taking our hats off to you

Charity walks are done and dusted 🎉

Massive thanks to everyone who booked a charity walk and supported me. Together we’ve raised around $550 through charity walks. A few photos posted below of a few dogs that joined for the charity walks.

Tomorrow myself and Pinnacle Performance will be at site 11 down at South Canterbury Cancer Society & Relay For Life Caroline bay. Feel free to pop down say hi and join in a lap. Our raffle will be down there as well if you want to grab a few tickets before we draw it on the day.

Introduction post 🐾

Hi, I’m Molly and I’m the face behind this business. I’m 21 years old and I’m madly in love with dogs. I have level 3 animal care certificate
4years + experience with dogs of all size and ages. I’m always expanding my knowledge of dog training and finding new ways to improve. I’m currently in the middle of a few other courses which I’ll update on here once there complete 😍
Prime k9 is my full time job and I wouldn’t want it another way, I wake up and I’m excited for what the day brings.

The most handsome Kenji (black dog) is the face behind our logo. Kenji came to me at 3 weeks old with his siblings who all needed a extra bit of love to pull them through. There was many sleepless nights and tears especially when it came to putting him up for adoption but thanks to my amazing parents here we are nearly 3 years down the line still together.
In the 3 years we’ve been together we’ve grown a bond that can never be broken. Kenji made me see how training, structure, play and adventures can make life so fun. Because of training and daily structure Kenji and I can go on some pretty epic adventures and we can completely enjoy our time together.
The little pocket rocket chopper is our latest addition, we welcomed him nearly 12 months ago now and our journey together has been one hell or a ride. When I adopted chopper he was explosively reactive to everything that moved from cars to bikes, from dogs to children but after months of endless hours of training chopper now has a life full of freedom and joy. My goal as a dog trainer is to show you how to live your best life with your dog.

I have some very exciting plans for the future of Prime K9 that I can’t wait to share with you all but until then I’ll continue to provide the best service I possibly can for you all 🎉
