Let’s talk about service animal behavior at a doctors office.
First off only task trained mini horses and dogs are allowed inside due to health codes.
While at a doctors office your dog should be under control at all times. Your dog should not be pulling around jumping on chairs, going up to ever random stranger. And you dog should especially NOT P*E ON THE DISPLAYS/office decor.
When I go to a doctors appointment Lucy is in a heal. And she is calm. Focused on me. She’s ignoring the smells, other people, etc. she’s out of the way of others and she’s not walking away from me unless she’s retrieving meds, phone, etc.
During exams I have Lucy in a down stay out of the way of the doctor most commonly under a chair like the one in the photo!
