Hi all! Cold weather goat owners :
I Acquired A doe and a buck in December. The doe was pregnant since she was with the male. We were told that she was due in March but she had her babies two days ago. It was a low of 9° at night so we brought them into the basement so the babies were not out in the freezing cold in the barn. My question is at what temperature is it safe to have young babies outside? And I mean outside as in their barn (totally enclosed but still no heat in the barn) …. I’m in upstate NY and our temps average in low 20s at night and highs in the 30s during the day .
