Getting everyone up to speed as some folks can't make it to Tea and Kitties tonight.

Naya is still in recovery from the spay. She's been an absolute angel in resting and moving along with the recovery time. Had to lower her pain meds dose ever so slightly as
3 = Naya wants to party 2 = Naya will rest

I'm going to miss this chapter with her. She's always been such a fantastic mother and really shows how much her inner kitten is still alive when kittens are around. I'm going to see about making her available for fosters down the line and I'm not moving fast to get her current kittens sold. No need for it to be more of a dramatic change for her than necessary.

Tali will still be studding here and there. He's been enjoying stealing my bed to hide from the chaos the kittens try to wrangle him in. Nothing but grumbles and being a momma's boy, purr usual.

The kittens are hellions and this is the age where I'm reminded I have what sounds like wolves up and down the hallways once more. 😌

Nubbins is off to Portland with his new parents today. 🥹

Nubbins' little tail has healed up nicely. I was able to show photos to the vet and it's been confirmed that his tail dislocated from the breached birth. I've been doing this for seven years and didn't know that was possible! Luckily, the necrosis didn't spread because it was caught early. All these vet visits are hard on the heart and wallet, but it comes with the territory. Seeing his little face light up will always be worth that and more. He was so well-mannered at the vet, too. Barely made a peep despite all the prodding he had to endure. 🥲

*NOTE: Litter Robot did not directly influence us for this review* We are simply testing some beta features of the unit and the Whisker app for them.

We received our Litter Robot 4 about three weeks ago and so far we have nothing but pleasantries to report. Naya has taken to it the quickest and uses it consistently. Vitali uses the litter robot and his old box pretty 50/50 but had no issues figuring out the litter robot just as quick as Naya did. Honestly the fact that it has cut down on smell by about 60% has been a godsend, the room our litter boxes are kept in has had problems with kitty stink and we’ve already seen massive improvement in under two weeks of switching over. Not to mention disposing of litter has been so much easier, and we only have to clear the bottom liner drawers out once a week instead of scooping on a daily basis.

We are also a huge fan of the Whisker App. We get a notification every time they use the robot sent to our phones which evaluates how often they go potty so I can note any irregularities to the vet as well as their weight/when the robot needs more litter/the drawer is full. There's a rumor of an app update which will allow owners to be notified for indications of any irregularities such as UTI or diabetes in the near future.

This has been the best smart home addition we have thus far in terms of how easy it has been to set up, utilize, and explore its features without getting lost/confused. The price tag is worth the relief in our honest opinion.

Based off how perfect of an addition it has been to my house, we am especially excited to see how well the Litter Robot 4 can handle six new kittens joining in on potty time, and how quickly they’ll prefer it to my previous litter arrangements.

It took us YEARS to find just the right litter for the job, but if you have multiple cats there is no better way to rid the smell of a stinky litter box. Links in the comments. Use a 50/50 split of both in one box. Your home will thank you.
