We went to the Lapeer Area Rabbit Raisers Double Show in Imlay City yesterday! It was a LONG day! I think we didn't show either of our breeds until after 1pm. We showed Harlequins and a Florida White buck! While we were there we did register 4 rabbits: Square 1, Coop, Starfruit, and Snuggles!

We went to the Saginaw Valley RCBA 90th Birthday Double Show in Corunna on Saturday! It was a great show, well run! We finally got Jasper registered and Granded, he just barely made weight and this was his second try lol!

So many pictures were done this week! (Over 40 rabbits had their pictures taken!!)

We have decided to get out of Polish. Nothing against the breed, we love are Polish and will miss some of the older ones. They are still an amazing breed! However, I am posting our Sr Proven Bucks with the current litters. Our Proven Does will get listed with their litters as they get old enough.

Some of these already hopped before I had a chance to post them (it will be on individual pictures) but check out the ones that are still 👀👀!

We went to the Heart of Michigan Double Show in Fowlerville this Saturday! It was a long drive but turned out to be such a nice day! So much better than last year (it was raining and COLD last year!) We were the only ones there that showed Harlequins but we brought enough to get a leg for Best of Breed at least (if the doe had won BOB, then BOSB would have got a leg too lol) so it was still a good day!

We had 3 litters born this week: 2 Harlequin and 1 Polish!

-1st Picture: Neutron (xChevy, Polish) kindled her litter early morning on Day 30 on the 17th. Had them outside the nestbox though and we lost 3 right away. By the 24 hour mark, we had lost a 4th. Which only left her with 2 out of her 6 kits. We fostered one kit to each of the Harlequin moms and Neutron will be rebred for her final try.
-2nd Picture: Mad Hatter (xButterfree, Harlequin) kindled her litter in the box in the morning while we were feeding everyone breakfast on Day 31 on the 18th. She had 13 kits total but 2 were DOA. With her foster Polish, she is raising a litter of 12!
-3rd Picture: Jawbreaker (xAll Might, Harlequin) was the last to kindle her litter on Day 31 on the 18th right before dinner. She had them next to the box but they got moved into and the box moved where she had them. She had 11 kits! With her foster, she is also raising a litter of 12!

Busy weekend this weekend! We had the show on Saturday in Evart and then we came home to the 1st of 4 does due the 5th had kindled while we were gone right on schedule!

-1st picture: Gin (xRoy, Polish) kindled while we were gone at Evart on Saturday on her due date. She had 5 kits: 1 solid and 4 broken!
-2nd picture: Reese's Cup (xKirishima, Harlequin) kindled before breakfast on Day 31 on Sunday morning. She had 11 kits and it looks like over half of this litter is lilac!
-3rd picture: Before C (xRock Candy, Harlequin) kindled before dinner on Sunday (Day 31 for her also) after I had just cleaned her den and given her fresh straw. She actually had her kits next to her nestbox for the first time ever! She had 12 kits with 1 DOA, leaving her with 11 to raise.
-4th picture: Corgi (xAll Might, Harlequin) kindled about the same time as Before C on her Day 31 as well and again, right after I cleaned her den. Though she had her kits IN her nestbox for the first time ever lol! She had 7 kits and they look mostly blue or lilac, can't tell yet.

Yesterday was also a breeding day. Charizard was finally bred for her first breeding after being a HUGE pain at the show on Saturday. But upcoming pairings are as follows:
-Charizard x All Might, Harlequin
-Helium x Rock Candy, Harlequin
-Boo x March Hare, Harlequin
-Momo x Jasper, Harlequin
-Tonks x Roy, Polish
-Moon x Chevy, Polish
They are due May 7th!

We have 3 litters due in a little under 2 weeks on April 17th, 2 Harlequin and 1 Polish. Both Harlequin moms have already started nesting, all 3 have palpated positive!

We had a great time at the Osceola R&CBA show in Evart yesterday! It was an.....eventful start to the day for us that led to us getting to the show later than planned but it still ended up being a great show! We got 5 rabbits registered (was supposed to be 6 but the 6th was 5 ounces to heavy 🤦‍♀️): Our Lost Acres Homestead's Gurgi, Our Lost Acres Homestead's Kirishima, Our Lost Acres Homestead's Butterfree, Our Lost Acres Homestead's Cauldron, and Our Lost Acres Homestead's Charizard. If you have any of these rabbits on pedigrees of rabbits you have gotten from me and want to add their registration number when I get it, just send me a message. There were 20 Harlequins with 7 Exhibitors in Show A and 18 Harlequins with 6 Exhibitors in Show B, some nice numbers!

New kits on the Homestead!

Starfruit (XButch, Harlequin) is a first time mom and did great! She kindled her litter on Day 31 (3/26) in the morning and built a beautiful nest in the box! She pulled lots of fur and had 8 kits, all living! They are all black kits. And what's even more great about this litter is that we no longer have the buck, we bred him to 2 does before he left us for another Homestead! The other litter, unfortunately, didn't make it.

Cauldron (XBlueberry, Harlequin) kindled on Day 33 (3/29) in the morning again. She had them in the box, with lots of fur, and did everything right! Unfortunately, only this lone little chonk made it. So it was fostered to Starfruit, who has the only surviving kits this round.

These kits were just weaned this week!! Jawbreaker did great this try and only lost 1 kit before weaning and that was out of her control! Both of these Litters ended up even splits of Bucks and Does and they were from the same sire! His only other litter was a litter of 7 and it was 4 bucks and 3 does so he must like things even! Did you know the buck decides the gender of the kits?
