Things get busy and you always think to get around to capturing those moments together.

And then things change or time runs out.

Sydney and her sweet pup, Mia, (above) don’t have a lot of time left together, but she did contact me in hopes of capturing some special and everyday moments of their life.

We quickly made it happen! Sydney hasn’t even seen all the photos yet, but I know they will mean the world to her.

A beautiful sunset photo session for Caitlin & her, sweet boy, Bear. 💕

Bear will be celebrating his birthday soon and Caitlin and I planned a session to celebrate their bond of almost 16 years!

This is just one of so many special photos where they snuggled, relaxed and had some quiet time together while I captured their story at one of their favorite locations.

“The girls could not stop talking about how much they enjoyed the session!”

Wow, what an awesome compliment from a 5 & 8 year old after hanging out with me for 2 hours!!

That is what Ella & Quinn’s mom told me the day after their family photo session to celebrate their senior pup, Murphy!

Even though this family has a crazy busy schedule, Murphy’s mom knew it was important to take the time to document the abundance of love they have for the furry kid in their family.

And I know that in 10 years when the girls look back at the beautiful, custom album I am designing for the family…it will bring back all the warm, happy vibes of that day! 💕

This photo means so much to me & my family. It was taken when we thought we only had 3 more hours left with our sweet rescue pup, Daisy. 🌼

We had been at the ER the day prior (due to an aggressive cancer she had been dealing with) and they said she only had a day or two left so start saying your goodbyes. 🥲

The next day we had a vet scheduled to come to our home to help her leave this earth peacefully.

While we were all giving her all the love we could, I suggested we get her outside and go for a walk. So we got the wagon out and enjoyed a nice walk in the fresh air…and then Daisy really perked up and we really felt it wasn’t time yet.

That walk gave us 3 more amazing weeks to say goodbye. And she left us when she was ready with all of us
by her side.

This photo truly represents my family being there for Daisy when she needed us to love her and care for her until she was ready to leave us physically.

My husband thanks me daily for our walk with Daisy that gave us a little more time for snuggles, smiles and love!❤️

I love capturing those unexpected moments during a custom pet photo session.

During the session when we are moving from one spot to another at the location, I am always paying attention what is going on.

A lot of the time, I will capture a really adorable moment when no one thinks I am photographing.

Just like I did here with Elisabeth and her, puppy, Willow, as we were heading over to the benches to take some photos.

My custom pet photo sessions are always a reflection of you and your pet’s personalities. It makes each session experience truly special.

I was so honored to be with Danika and Elizabeth to celebrate their beautiful bond. It was a mix of emotions as Danika’s journey on earth was coming to an end.

I truly hope having photos of this time together will help Elizabeth ease the loss and feel the love of Danika always. ❤️

One of my favorite photos from my 2023 at-home custom sessions.

📸: Maria and her beloved 18-year-old rescued Chihuahua mix, Oscar, in their backyard in San Francisco.

Oscar was a rockstar that day. I always believe senior pups sense that these photos with their family are important and they do their best to shine.

Maria’s daughter set up the session for her mom at their home. Which was perfect so everyone felt comfortable and relaxed.

I captured photos of Maria and Oscar doing what they normally do around the house and backyard. Which I am sure the family truly cherishes.

Oscar gained his angel wings about two months after the session. I am so happy they have amazing photos to remember that special day. 💕

Every year I go through my previous year’s sessions to pick some of my favorite photos!!

It helps me look how the year went with regard to my creativity, what went well and what I can improve on moving forward.

For my custom sessions, I am prepared for what my pet parents love about their pets and family and what they want me to focus on. And I am always ready for all those in-between moments, too.

📸: Alexandra, 2 years old, is getting ready to walk her pup, Nessie, down the path.

I love Alexandra’s smile and how her mom’s arms frame her sweet face. The leash connects them all literally and figuratively!! And Nessie with that happy smile and flowing fur!!! Love it!😍

I am so thrilled Alexandra will have this photo and many more from the session to look back on as she grows up!

I will be posting more of my favorite photos from last year and I am putting a blog together of the photos, too!

I am looking forward to sharing!

Our pets can really tell how we are feeling by our facial expressions!

When a dog raises their eyebrow area & sticks out their tongue, they are relaxed and happy and they expect a happy gesture back from us!
